Frost Group is presently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Controller/CFO, the Senior Accountant is to help streamline processes, perform monthly reconciliations, adjust entries, and track cash flow while learning to cover the roles of other team members like payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and other accounting related duties.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate accounting knowledge in the management of Cost & G/L Transactions to Trial Balance and Statement Generation analysis and adjusting entries. Solid A/P, A/R and Revenue Invoice Generation for Clients should be a part of this background. The incumbent can grow with the company.

Responsibilities
• Provide accounting related support to Controller and Field Administrators.
• Perform accounting duties such as monthly bank reconciliations, calculation and posting of deprecation, ensuring payables are coded correctly, and all other general accounting duties.
• Under the direction of the Controller, produce monthly financial statements (including balance sheet analysis and adjustment where required) for various companies in the Frost Group.
• Cash management and payables processing.
• Help to cover time off for Reception, Payroll, and other roles in the Prince George office.

Qualifications
• A Diploma or Degree in Business/Accounting is required and/or those on their way to their CPA designation will be considered
• Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent organizational skills, which will be utilized to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work environment
• Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team

Re: Project Coordinator

The Frost Group carries out multiple heavy civil construction projects each season. Reporting to the Senior Project Administrator, the Project Coordinator provides administrative support to all of the Frost Group’s construction projects. The Project Coordinator will work primarily in the Frost Group’s head office in Prince George BC. The Project Coordinator will assist with the tracking of time, equipment, materials and job progress. The Project Coordinator will also contribute to improved communication between shifts, between the office and field, and between project management and administration.

Site Administration:

· Work with the Senior Project Administrator to ensure that on-site administrators have the tools and direction to complete their own job duties

· Cross-Train with various Site Administrators as necessary to ensure on-site coverage for holidays, during periods of increased workloads, etc.

· In general, assist the project team with ensuring swift resolution to outstanding administrative or communication issues between construction sites and the office that may slow payment

· Work with the Senior Project Administrator, Operations Manager, Controller, and other office staff to ensure labour and equipment time, and all materials are tracked sufficiently for invoice generation and that costs remain accurate even on small or remote jobs

Key Duties:

· Receive and track employee and equipment time for payroll and job costing purposes

· Review (or create) daily LEMs for various job sites

· Ensure time tracked in LEMs matches job costing reports

· Creation of purchase orders

· Some materials tracking

· Learn to be a proficient user of Traqspera job costing software

Other Project Work:

· The Project Coordinator will be growing and changing with the company. Other duties may include:

o Running to site with paper work or parts

o Attending meetings / taking minutes as required

o Visiting customer, supplier or partner offices

o Creation of various ad hoc or permanent documents, including writing letters and developing various tracking spreadsheets

o Generally acting as a right hand to the project management team
