Lumber Industry experience in sawmill and planermill processes and design
Machinery and Product design
AutoCAD and Solidworks skills

Wolftek is currently seeking journeymen and apprentice machinists to join our team.

Wolftek is a locally owned Prince George company with 37 years of experience within the planer and sawmilling industries. Our goal is to assist our customers with reducing their downtime and increasing their throughput.

Job description and responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain both manual and CNC turning and machining centers

- Interpret drawings, instructions, and samples to ensure accurate production

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment

- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Strong attention to detail

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in math

- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform repetitive tasks

Work hours/benefits:

- Monday Through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with overtime and weekend work

- Medical and dental plan

- RRSP matched contributions

- Annual safety allowance

Another successful project! Our customer needed to improve throughput but due to their current mill layout, speeding up the planer wasn't an option. By converting their planer feed works from hydraulic to electric and installing a rebuilt Wolftek feed table, they were able to run more efficiently and increase their weekly production by 30 percent! "With the completion of our planer mill upgrade, we purchased Wolftek’s Thermal Imaging system to monitor our Stetson Ross Planer. Due to increased speed, we needed something dependable, to monitor hot spots, friction contact points, and bearing temperatures. The system was turnkey, easy to install, user friendly, and tied into our HDMI System. We are very pleased with the trending and real-time monitoring, with the capability of stopping the line if temperatures get high. Excellent product, would highly recommend."
