💥💥 Project update – Second 6040 Mining Bucket 💥💥

This 6040 bucket came in for a complete re-build from on of our mining customers. Work entailed design and install of a custom wear package. This gave us an opportunity to try out own new Cooper Heat system.

Special thanks to Caterpillar., Finning Canada, Swedish Steel, Russel Metals, Vital NDT and Frontline Inspections.

This project finished up this week and the bucket was loaded and returned to site by W.G. Davis and Sons Trucking Ltd.

🎉🎉 Our great team was happy to help out a local PG business, Veterinary Clinic, with some work on their prep/recovery room recently.

We fabricated the steel door for the room and the embedded channels which the door is connected to (i.e. door jambs). We also fabricated the steel induction gate, located inside the room and provided the embedded plate which the induction gate is connected to in the room.

In addition, we modified the crane rail beams as per the Engineer's specifications.

The rebuild and modifications on the 6040 mining bucket were recently completed by our shop – over 2000 hours were put into this incredible project by our great team of skilled welders.

The bold color scheme was requested by our client to symbolize their respect for the Indigenous partnerships they’ve formed, and show their commitment to reconciliation:
• Orange body - represents remembrance and awareness for Indigenous communities and residential school survivors.
• Black cheek plates and accents - adds contrast and strength, symbolizing resilience.
• White GET and heel shrouds - clean, bold finish that highlights precision and quality.

We at Integrity Welding wish to thank Finning Canada, Caterpillar, and Artemis Gold Inc l Blackwater Mine for entrusting us with this significant project. We look forward to working with them on more projects in the future.

Thanks as well to our steel suppliers for this project – SSAB Swedish Steel and Russel Metals. Shout out again to Tharrow Crane and W.G. Davis Trucking for help with loading up this bucket for its journey back to the mine site where it will be displayed for a couple weeks prior to its reinstallation.

🚨 Go big or go home....shout out again to Tharrow Crane Ltd. and W.G. Davis and Sons Trucking Ltd. for helping deliver and off load this big bucket from a CAT 6040 excavator!! Our shop will be doing some re & re on it so it can go back to the mine site 👍 😊
