Customer wanted a cross fire rig. This is what we came up with.

Western Center Fire Rigging (or centerfire/crossfire) is designed to shift the girth position back, away from your horse’s elbows, preventing galling and increasing comfort. It stabilizes the saddle by creating a V-shape connection between the front and rear rings, making it ideal for mules or horses with forward-sliding saddles.

I put some leather covering on the legs of these carhartt bibs to protect against sparks. After going through a pair of FR coveralls (ripping the knees out and putting a bunch of holes in them from welding slag) I suspect this alteration will help the situation.
