A great success! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone with us. We were honoured to have representatives from Red Deer County attended, including Brent Ramsay for Mayor of Red Deer County, who kindly shared a few words, a representative from Burton Bailey's office, and Red Deer District Chamber representatives. A special shout out to Brett Dermott from the Red Deer District Chamber for facilitating the grand opening.

Thank you to everyone who supplied delicious food including our lovely neighbours Tomato Static, the staff at Immigration Care who brought homemade dishes from various countries and Island Foods.

It was wonderful to hear Martine‘s dad, Hennie, share a few words and learn more about Martine’s early years that influenced where she is today. It was a beautiful day for a celebration! Thank you all, again ❤️

Stay tuned for more thank you’s and pictures to come!

One of the biggest misconceptions about international recruitment is that workers can arrive quickly. In reality, timelines vary significantly depending on the immigration pathway being used.

Here’s a general snapshot of current timelines in Canada:

For most employers using the LMIA process, you can expect:

👉🏼 Advertising & recruitment requirements: ~4–6 weeks
👉🏼 LMIA processing: ~2–4 months for many streams
👉🏼 Work permit processing: ~2–5 months depending on the country and application type

👉🏼 Total estimated timeline: 4–9+ months

Some streams move faster, like the Global Talent Stream: often around 2–4 weeks for LMIA processing or Agricultural streams: generally faster than standard streams.

LMIA-Exempt / Non-LMIA pathways, including programs like Francophone Mobility and certain international agreements can significantly reduce timelines because no LMIA is required.

Typical timelines:
👉🏼 Employer compliance submission: often just days
👉🏼 Work permit processing: ~1–4 months depending on location and eligibility

👉🏼 Total estimated timeline: 1–4+ months

Every situation is different, and timelines can change based on government processing volumes, worker location, application quality and occupation and stream eligibility. The biggest advantage employers can have? Planning ahead.

We're here to help employers understand their options, realistic timelines, and the pathways that may work best for their hiring needs. Reach out if you'd like to get a conversation started!

🎉 Grand Opening Announcement! 🎉 We're excited to share a new chapter in our journey, the grand opening of our brand new office space!

While Immigration Care has proudly been serving clients since 2008, this milestone marks a fresh and meaningful evolution for our team. Our new space reflects who we are today: growing, modern, and deeply committed to connecting employers with international talent and supporting newcomers as they build their futures in Canada.

A special note of appreciation goes to Martine, who thoughtfully designed our new office with the help of Wendi Ronspies Design Inc. at Studio Eleven. Every detail was created with intention, reflecting the care, professionalism, and heart that define our work.

This new space is more than an office, it’s a place for collaboration, connection, and continued impact.

We’re grateful to our clients, partners, and community who have supported us since the beginning. We look forward to welcoming you into this new space and continuing to grow together.

We hope to see you there! ✨ Here’s to new beginnings in a place that feels like home.
