We were proud to be included on the Security & Surveillance Leadership panel at the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority Security and Surveillance Summit in Saskatoon. It was a great opportunity to connect and share thoughts with others in the field. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a memorable event.

Today we honour the Survivors, and remember the children who never made it home from residential schools. The path to reconciliation requires that we be willing to hold the Truth.
In memory of our friend, Jim Pratt, who was always willing to share the teachings of his Peoples and the Truth with us.

Here, service members and the Canadian public can reflect and share what remembrance means to them. Please consider joining in.

As we approach the RCMP National Memorial Service on September 13 and National Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Day on September 27, we’re inviting Canadians to pause, reflect, and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

This remembrance campaign will share reflections from Members and the public on the meaning of service, sacrifice, remembrance, and legacy.

September 11th will always remind us of the nearly 3,000 lives lost—including 24 Canadian souls—in a senseless attack on the United States of America. We also remember the courage and bravery of first responders, and the spirit of unity that emerged from the ashes.
Never forget.

We're excited to share some news on behalf of our Founder/CEO, Rod Buckingham CPP, on his work as Chair of the Board of Directors for the RCMP Heritage Centre:

"Last week I had the privilege of signing an MOU with Bob Smart, President of the Friends of the RCMP Heritage Centre. This MOU was made possible through the hard work and dedication of our Board members, Patricia Warsaba and Sabeen Ahmad, Bob Smart and Ron Plomp of the Friends of the RCMP Heritage Centre, and Sam Karikas, CEO of RCMP Heritage Centre. As we continue our journey toward becoming a National Museum, this MOU helps ensure a shared understanding of the important roles and responsibilities that support the ongoing operation of the Centre. It’s an important step forward and a reflection of the commitment so many have made to our future. And there’s even more to be excited about—Sam is leading the creation of an incredible new exhibit that you won’t want to miss. Come check out all the exhibits and see what’s new at the Centre! We look forward to welcoming you."

Join us in congratulating our founder and CEO, Rod Buckingham CPP, who was recently appointed as Chair of the Board of Directors for the RCMP Heritage Centre.

A message from Rod:
"I’m honoured to have been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for the RCMP Heritage Centre. I’m fortunate to be working alongside an outstanding Board that is passionate about preserving and sharing the history of the RCMP in Canada. We have some exciting opportunities ahead, and I’m looking forward to helping move our vision forward.
I also want to recognize the dedication of the previous Boards and CEOs, whose leadership and commitment have brought us closer to our goal of becoming a National Museum. Their hard work has created a strong foundation for the future.
There’s also a lot to look forward to at the Centre. Sam Karakis and the staff continue to develop engaging new exhibits that I know visitors will enjoy, and the Friends of the RCMP who work tirelessly behind the scenes to raise funds and build support for our mission. If you’re looking for a way to get involved, I encourage you to support their efforts however you can.
Preserving the history of the RCMP matters. It helps Canadians better understand the important role the RCMP have played—and continue to play—in communities across our country, while honouring the incredible people who have dedicated themselves to serving and protecting others.
I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to be part of this journey."
