We attended the WESK - Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan Summit and asked entrepreneurs one question: What is your biggest barrier to growth?

The message was clear: scaling operations is a challenge for many growing businesses.

Finding and keeping talent, leadership bottlenecks, revenue growth, access to capital and market expansion came up too, a reminder that growth looks different for every business.

These conversations matter because understanding where businesses are getting stuck helps us connect them with the people, resources and expertise they need to move forward. It’s also at the heart of the Upscale Business Growth Program, delivered in partnership with SREDA, which helps growing companies turn barriers into actionable growth priorities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, added a sticker and, more importantly, shared the story behind it.

Today, our team joined YWCA Regina for the 10th annual Walk a Mile in Their Shoes ❤️

Alongside people from across Regina, we walked to raise awareness and funds to help end gender-based violence and support the women, children, and families who rely on YWCA programs and services.

It was meaningful to see so many people come together for this cause, and we’re grateful to have been part of it.

Around half of Labour Day Classic fans come from outside the city, bringing thousands of visitors to Regina for the weekend.

From hotel stays and meals out to Rider gear and game-day spending, it all adds up. One family’s weekend is just one small piece of a much bigger economic story.

Since moving to Regina in 2024, Todd Rennebohm has quickly become a trusted voice for mental health advocacy.

As one of our Regina 25 Quick Studies award recipients, Todd is an author, speaker, podcaster, and survivor in long-term recovery who uses his experiences to create honest conversations around mental health, addiction, and healing.

Through his podcast, Bunny Hugs and Mental Health, Todd has shared more than 250 conversations with survivors, experts, and advocates. His children’s book, Sometimes Daddy Cries, and podcast series, Transgression, have opened up even more conversations that aren’t always easy to have.

Through his storytelling and advocacy, Todd is helping break down stigma and remind people they aren’t alone.

David Nnamdi has quickly made a meaningful impact in Regina by helping residents navigate one of the city’s biggest healthcare challenges: finding a family doctor.

As one of our Regina 25 Quick Studies award recipients, David relocated to Regina from Ukraine and launched Docmiyo.ca, a free platform that provides real-time clinic availability, services, and contact information.

At a time when many residents were struggling to access care, Docmiyo filled an important gap by making it easier to see which clinics are accepting patients and connect with healthcare providers.

By combining innovation with a real community need, David has created a practical tool that is helping newcomers, families, and underserved residents access care in Regina.

Sakshi Meda has quickly become a passionate voice for youth engagement and global citizenship in Regina.

As one of our Regina 25 Quick Studies award recipients, Sakshi creates opportunities for young people to explore global issues and make a difference through her work with the Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation.

From leadership camps to youth initiatives and community events, Sakshi has helped create spaces where young people feel heard, supported, and encouraged to get involved. What stands out is her ability to connect with youth and help them see the impact they can have.

In a short time, Sakshi has helped strengthen youth engagement and make Regina a more connected and globally aware community.

In just five years, Rena Farajova has made Regina home while bringing a piece of her own culture to our community.

As one of our Regina 25 Quick Studies award recipients, Rena is the co-founder of the Azerbaijani Cultural Association of Regina (AzCAR), where she has helped share Azerbaijani culture through performances, workshops, and community events across the city.

Her passion for sharing her culture also extends to younger generations. Rena has translated and published Azerbaijani fairy tales locally, giving children a new way to experience the stories and traditions she grew up with.

Through her creativity and willingness to share, Rena is adding to the cultural fabric that makes Regina such a welcoming place to call home.
