Today marks World Mental Health Day 2026, and this year’s theme reminds us to truly listen to real voices and lived experiences.

Mental health is a universal human right, yet so many people still face these challenges in silence or without the support they deserve.

Let's pledge to check in on our loved ones, speak openly about our own struggles, and advocate for meaningful change in our communities.

The Unifor 594 Bargaining Committee acknowledges and recognizes the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools, and the lasting impact on Indigenous peoples and communities. On Treaty 4 territory, we honour the Survivors and their families, and commit to listening, learning, and respecting the path toward reconciliation.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day we honour the sufferings of Indigenous People and mend the historical scars left by the residential school system.

Today reminds us of the ongoing effort required to promote mutual respect, understanding, and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians.

Two years ago today, Unifor 594 welcomed the Co-op Ethanol Complex into our union family, making us a composite local!

A composite local is a union with two or more branches whose members work for more than one employer across one or more locations, often under different collective agreements.

Since both locals work under the FCL umbrella, it naturally made sense to support CEC as they unionized.

Here's to continued growth and collaboration!

We just wrapped up our annual Shop Steward Strategic Planning Day! We spent the day collaborating, looking at the big picture, and mapping out our goals to support everyone on the team as effectively as possible.

Our stewards pull double duty every single day. They balance their normal workloads while stepping up to answer questions, solve problems, and advocate for everyone on the floor.

Some days, being a steward feels like a thankless task, but without their support and voice, our local wouldn't have the strength it does today.

Thank you, Stewards! You are our Strength!

Be sure to stop by your local Sherwood Co-op today to Fuel Up and Feel Good while supporting the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.

Today is the day! We’re proud to partner with our friends at Sherwood Co-op for Fuel Good Day 2026. Fill up at any Sherwood Co-op Gas Bar and 20 cents from every litre sold will be donated to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.

Join us in cheering on all the athletes participating in the various races this weekend as part of the annual Queen City Marathon.

Events run from Friday through Sunday and include a wellness expo, a 5K night run, a kids' mini marathon, and the main event on Sunday.

Be aware of road closures and race traffic throughout the city this weekend. And to all the athletes, have a great race!
