When was the last time you reviewed your systems?

As leaders and business owners, putting systems and processes in place is not only a great way to form consistency, but it is also a great way to improve the efficiency of our business.

Have you ever felt frustrated or let down by new or existing clients cancelling last minute? If you do not currently have one, implementing a cancellation and no-show policy is something you may consider.

Benefits of implementing these types of policies within your systems include (but are not limited to):

✨Additional accountability for your clients
✨Coverage for your missed/cancelled time

Be sure to review your systems frequently to see what currently works and does not work for your business to make adjustments accordingly!

Are you feeling burnt out?

As business owners and leaders it can be incredibly easy to feel burnt out.

Here are a few reminders on how to avoid burn out, or how to improve your current situation:

Working hours: STICK to your working hours. This means; not checking emails before bed, not making work-related calls or addressing business issues beyond working hours.

Balance: schedule in time for yourself each week outside of your regular work days. Choosing time to engage in self-care or move your body are great ways to avoid burn-out.

What are your first impressions ✨

When was the last time you reviewed your first impressions of your business?

First impressions are incredibly important! They can either make or break continued visits for both current and prospective clients.

Here are some quick and simple things to review:

1) Lighting: what is the lighting like upon entering your space? Not only is this important for safety reasons, but it also assists in giving a good impression!

2) Greeting: what type of greeting do you give your clients? Removing any barriers (technology and furniture) is the most welcoming greeting you can give! This includes standing versus sitting behind a desk.

Do you provide value to your clients?

The services that you offer to your clients are considered valuable, but how else do you provide value?

Here are a few ways you can give value to your clients:

1) Free content: whether you prefer your social platforms or a newsletter, providing free tips/content to your clients is a great way to add value to your current services

2) Listening: through listening to client feedback not only are you showing your clients that you listen, but you are also adding value to your services by considering their suggestions

What are your expectations for your staff?
-
Do you have specific expectations for your staff in regards to how they perform certain duties? When setting expectations, as business owners and leaders, it’s extremely important that we model the same expectations of ourselves.

In order to have a successful team, we need our team to both trust and respect us.

A great way to put this concept into perspective is to ask yourself this: “Would I do what I expect of my team?”.

If your answer is no, you likely need to reevaluate your expectations and re-consider what you would/wouldn’t do for your business. As business owners and leaders it is extremely important for us to lead by example.
