What a wonderful way to celebrate Seniors’ Week!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at the Regina Senior Citizens Centre where Heartland Senior Consulting was proud to sponsor lunch before I had the opportunity to give a presentation.

I always enjoy the chance to connect, share information and spend time with members of our senior community. There were lots of great conversations!

I’m also proud that Heartland is a Corporate Sponsor of the Regina Senior Citizens’ Centre and supports the important work they do to keep older adults connected, active, and engaged in our community.

What a wonderful evening celebrating Saskatchewan’s seniors! 🌻

Heartland Senior Consulting was honoured to attend the 2026 Celebrating Seniors Provincial Volunteer Awards Gala and Banquet as a Bronze Sponsor.

It was a pleasure to see The Honourable Bernadette McIntyre, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan and Honorary Patron of the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism, who brought greetings to everyone gathered for the evening.

We also heard an incredible speech from guest speaker The Honourable Ralph Goodale, enjoyed fantastic entertainment from Jesse Lamont, and had the opportunity to connect with Shan Landry, President of the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism.

And of course, the evening was truly about the volunteers. Congratulations to all of the nominees and award recipients! Your time, dedication and generosity have made a meaningful difference in communities throughout Saskatchewan. 💛

This Wednesday’s Science Connections at the Saskatchewan Science Centre takes the conversation beyond the headlines.

Dr. David Sauchyn of the University of Regina will share what current scientific evidence tells us about how Saskatchewan’s climate is changing, followed by time for questions, conversation and exploring the Science Centre.

What a wonderful way to start the day! 💙

I had the pleasure of speaking with the Northgate Senior Walkers this morning, with more than 60 members in attendance!

What an engaged and welcoming group. I truly enjoyed the thoughtful questions, wonderful conversations, and the opportunity to connect with so many people who are committed to staying active, informed, and connected in their community.

The Northgate Senior Walkers are all about fun, fitness, and friendship. Along with walking and exercise opportunities, the club gathers for monthly meetings and other activities. They meet the first Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the North East Community Centre, with no meetings in July or August.

A heartfelt thank you to the Northgate Senior Walkers for inviting me and for such a warm welcome. I left this morning walking on Cloud 9! ☁️💙

What a fantastic day at the Harbour Landing Village Country Jamboree! 🤠🎶

Yesterday was all about music, food, fun, and community, and Harbour Landing Village certainly knows how to put on a celebration!

We enjoyed live entertainment throughout the day, including Brian Sklar and the Old Time All Stars, along with delicious food trucks, marketplace vendors, bouncy castles, horse-drawn carriage rides and, of course, the mechanical bull!

There was even a Hot Wing Challenge, and I was especially proud and maybe a little entertained to cheer on my hubby, Tim, as one of the brave participants!

One of the things we love most about events like this is seeing residents, families, staff and the broader community come together and simply enjoy the day. ❤️

Harbour Landing Village is one of the many senior living communities in Regina that Heartland Senior Consulting has the pleasure of working with, and we were so happy to attend and support their wonderful Jamboree. Thank you to their entire team for such a fun and memorable day. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

What an incredible morning at the Saskatchewan Science Centre for Science Connections! 🧠✨

We had a record-breaking 50+ people in attendance for today’s presentation on Brain Health with Dr. Holly Bardutz!

Dr. Holly shared practical, research-backed ways we can support a healthy aging brain, including nutrition, exercise, quality sleep, social connection, and managing stress. One of our favorite takeaways: it’s never too early or too late to invest in your brain health. 💙

Heartland Senior Consulting was proud to be the refreshment sponsor for this morning’s event! We loved having the opportunity to support such a great program and connect with so many members of our community.

A big thank you to Dr. Holly for sharing her knowledge and passion, and to everyone who joined us and made this our biggest Science Connections event yet!

🧠 How well is your brain aging?

This is such an interesting question, and one I think many of us probably don’t stop to think about often enough.

This Wednesday, Science Connections is welcoming Dr. Holly Bardutz, PhD, Founding Director of the Brain Health and Wellness Lab at the University of Regina, for a conversation about brain health and what science is teaching us about keeping our brains healthy as we age.

I’m especially looking forward to hearing about the small, everyday choices that may make a difference. There is so much conversation about taking care of our bodies as we get older, but taking care of our brains deserves just as much attention.
