Parking reminder for fishing crews.
There are plenty of areas on wharf property to park that will not impede on daily operations such as fuel and bait deliveries, buyer's tractor trailers and in the off chance that emergency vehicles are required.

There are also parking spaces along Main Street along the wharf property as well. The 3rd pic shows an area where several vehicles can park that will not interfere with traffic.

Vehicle parking continues to be an issue on the wharf. We have had an incident with a parked truck and our fuel delivery truck early this morning. We will put some barricades up in certain areas to ensure any further issues.

On a side note, there was a report of a second incident where a parked truck was heavily damaged. This turned out to be AI generated photos sent to the owner of the vehicle. We nor the police have the time to investigate incidents that have never occurred. Please refrain from blowing things out of proportion online without all of the facts. Thank you.

Today is the big day 🦞
Our fleet will set out to set their gear at 6am. We ask that all crews consider where they leave their vehicles while fishing. Our neighbours property lines must be respected as well as those of the wharf facility.

Please do not park on properties that effect the business activity of local businesses such as the Family Dairy Bar, Dixie Lee, First Star Convenience/Pizza Shack, and the Richibucto Marina.

If necessary to park on the wharf, be sure that you are not blocking any main traffic paths, other vehicles, equipment or buildings. While crews depart to dump their gear, each buyer work hastily to setup their operations for the season. It is at sometime very hectic and chaotic to make this transition and we would like to mitigate any further complications or delays by having to work around parked vehicles.

Current situation at our wharf is a beehive of activity where everyone is preparing to launch fishing gear Monday morning.

Notice to general public:
Please resist the urge to drive in to visit and observe. Ask yourself when the last time you had a fisherman visit you at the office and sit on your desk while you worked. This is a very busy work environment.

Everyone needs room to work safely and no one needs the added aggravation of a traffic jam or unnecessary vehicular activity. This is a major hub of operations for dozens of the region's fishing industry companies with hundreds of employees on-site.
