âś…AI Disclosure: Employers must state if artificial intelligence is used in screening, assessing, or selecting job applicants.
✅No “Canadian Experience” Requirement: Job postings can no longer require Canadian work experience as a condition of employment.
âś…Timely Communication: Employers must inform interviewed applicants of the hiring decision within 45 days after the last interview.
âś…New Hire Information: Effective July 1, 2025, employers must provide new employees with key details in writing before their first day (e.g., pay rate, location, contact info, hours, etc.).
