This year's CVSA International Roadcheck runs from May 12 to May 14. International Roadcheck is an annual three-day event when Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance -certified inspectors conduct compliance, enforcement and educational initiatives targeted at various elements of motor carrier, vehicle and driver safety.

The driver focus for this year’s International Roadcheck is on electronic logging device (ELD) tampering, falsification or manipulation. During an inspection, the inspector will review the driver’s record of duty status as usual and check for false or manipulated entries, with a focus on ELD tampering.

This year’s International Roadcheck vehicle focus is cargo securement. Improper or inadequate cargo securement poses a serious risk to the driver and other motorists by adversely affecting the vehicle’s maneuverability and/or causing unsecured loads to fall or become dislodged, resulting in roadway hazards and/or crashes.

International Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world, with nearly 15 trucks and motorcoaches inspected, on average, every minute across North America during a 72-hour period.

🚛 Huge Thank you to the guys at Downton's Oilfield Services Ltd. for giving me a shout to permit them from CO/OK state line down to Big Springs TX and then back to Alberta ! 🚛

🚛 The guys at GST Logistics and Triple Random Inc are at it again with another high load! Hauling a Feedwell tank from Fort McMurray AB to Kearl Lake AB! 🚛

🌟 They were 119’ long, 23’ high, 20’ wide and 240,000lbs.🌟

🤙🏻 For their Trip I got them:
- 1 ATCO Approval
- 1 Telus Approval
- Co-ordinated the traffic light moves with Can Traffic for North of Fort McMurray.
- Co-ordinated 5 traffic light moves with Wood Buffalo through Fort Mac
- 1 Alberta Oversize Overweight Permit valid with night travel from Location to Destination due to meeting for traffic light move’s through town.
- Also modified start dates and times with Can Traffic and Wood Buffalo due to being able to move quicker than anticipated ! 🤙🏻
