I found this sweet pea laying in front of my door when I returned from work.
After two hours it was still there and it was close to dusk, so I moved it into my pot of petunias to keep it warm and safe.
From what I’ve learned, they often sleep at night amongst flowers where it’s warmer and protected.
It’s not uncommon to find a resting bumble bee, I’ve seen my share on roadways and placed them on the shoulder so as to not be killed by traffic.
However, if you find one that isn’t moving within prx. 45 minutes, then it’s probably dying from either illness or old age.
Sadly, this one was barely alive this morning and it appeared to be from disease. If you check the wings and see any irregularity it usually represents an old bee.
I tucked this little one under a leaf by a flower 🌸 and sent it on its way. 💕

Why can wildlife p**p in the woods, but my dog can't?

Essentially, wild animals consume nutrients from the ecosystem and quickly "return" those same resources back to the environment. Some animals even benefit the ecosystem by p**ping because their stomachs break down seed coatings and help the seed spread and germinate once it is "passed". 💩

Our dogs, however, consume food that isn't native to the environment they are exploring. Pet waste also adds nitrogen and phosphorous to the environment (no good!) and introduces harmful bacteria as well.

Do your doody and pack that 💩 out!

Watermelon is such a great summer treat! Ever wonder if you can give it to your dog? You can; you just need to take a few precautions. Be sure to slice it up into smaller pieces, buy seedless watermelons, and never give your dog the rind - it can cause an upset stomach or an intestinal blockage, which can be quite dangerous. And as with everything, moderation is key!

So sad

Please be mindful, if you are not willing to do 100% commitment to give the best for your pets, don’t get one.
