Michell Excavating Ltd. Every great project starts here. Moving the earth since 1950. Our story began with Michell Farm, established in the 1800s on the Saanich Peninsula.

From this family of farmers came Maurice Michell, who began specializing in custom tractor work with his father, Willard. This father-son duo used their equipment and experience to serve those in their community: farmers, homeowners, and business people. Before long, they had earned a reputation for producing quality work and forging relationships built on integrity and trust. Today, Michell Excav

The company consists of Maurice’s children and grandchildren as well as a team of dedicated employees, many of whom have been with Michell Excavating for decades. We’re on site supporting the pile crew and getting everything dialed in before excavation starts. A bit of organizing, a bit of coordinating, and a lot of making sure the ground stays where it’s supposed to.

The big dig is coming—right now we’re just making sure the stage is set.
