Same ABS core. Three different surfaces. The one you spec depends on where the part ends up. 📐
Co-extrusion bonds a functional cap layer to an ABS base during production, so the core keeps its impact resistance while the surface does a specific job. Low Gloss Cap ABS holds a consistent matte finish and kills glare — dashboards, door panels and interior trim across automotive, heavy truck, RV, construction and agricultural equipment. ASA Weatherable Cap ABS holds colour through UV and hard weather, which is what lawn, garden and ag components need. Solarkote® Acrylic Cap ABS adds UV protection with real surface depth.
Choosing the resin underneath works the same way. ABS gives you impact strength, abrasion resistance and chemical stability for thermoforming, machining and die-cutting. TPO gives you low-temperature impact performance, low CTLE and UV stability for harsh winter exposure.
What doesn't change: ISO 9001 certification since 2003, in-line computer colour monitoring at the point of extrusion, and five specialized extrusion lines. Same spec, run after run, across multi-year programs and service parts.
