Wending Home is once again participating in the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival Discovery Pass weekends this fall!

Wending Home is teaming up with Barry Maybee for our special pairing: RIESLING: SMOKE & SPICE

These legendary Texas Twinkies feature gently warmed jalapeños stuffed with smoked brisket and cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, slow-smoked, glazed with barbecue sauce, and finished with Maybee’s signature Alabama white sauce. Winemaker Ron Giesbrecht pairs this smoky, savoury favourite with our Wending Home Small Batch Riesling, whose subtle sweetness perfectly complements the Twinkie’s gentle heat.

The Spill The Wine Podcast Spill was live at Wending Home to talk with Winemaker Ron Giesbrecht about some exciting new wines a few months ago - and you can watch the entire interview on our website!

Andrea Morris and producer Lukas Sluzar joined us back in May (notice Ron’s not-so-subtle nod to the Habs still being alive in the NHL playoff hunt) to celebrate their 50th episode with their very first podcast in front of a live audience. Ron joined Andrea to chat about some unique grape varietals, and the release of our new Small Batch series.
