CPT code 98985 is one of the most useful additions in the 2026 RTM update. It recognizes a clinical reality: RTM doesn't have to be a daily, all-month commitment to be valuable.

Now clinics can bill for 2 to 15 monitored days in a 30-day period, opening a clear billing pathway for short episodes of care, acute injury recovery, late-stage rehab, and tapering programs. That means you can design RTM programs around clinical need rather than around the 16-day threshold.

This article breaks down what counts as a monitored day, how 98985 pairs with the other RTM codes, and the documentation that keeps claims audit-ready: https://hubs.li/Q04sB4Fz0

We are heading to Glasgow!

The Wibbi team will be at the CSP Annual Conference 2026, October 19-20 at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, Scotland. Come find us at booth #25.

The CSP Annual Conference brings together thousands of physiotherapy professionals for two days of learning, networking, and innovation. This year's theme, "The Power of Prevention in Modern Physiotherapy Practice".

Wibbi, as a care platform, helps clinics, hospitals, and single providers/practitioners design care plans so treatment continues after the session ends, bringing home exercise programs, patient engagement, and outcomes together in one platform.

If you are a physio or clinic leader thinking about how to keep care going between visits, we would love to connect in person. Stop by booth #25 and let's talk.

RTM documentation just got faster in Wibbi.

The Bill feature now includes a Copy to Clipboard function. Once a CPT code reaches Requirements Met or Ready to Invoice, users can select the applicable billing code and copy the complete, code-specific documentation straight to their clipboard, ready to paste into the patient's EMR. Cleaner records, better consistency, less manual work.

The key upgrade: documentation for RTM monitoring codes can now be completed as soon as the code hits Requirements Met, instead of waiting until the end of the calendar month.
Small change, real time saved for clinical teams.

Launching RTM sounds like a big lift until you break it into four essentials: your platform, your workflow, your staff roles, and your patient setup. Pick a platform that tracks HEP compliance and outcomes automatically. Enroll at the evaluation and monitor in small weekly or biweekly blocks. Let your therapist handle setup while an internal or external RTM team runs ongoing monitoring. And make patient onboarding smooth, because when patients see the value, they stay engaged. No major workflow overhaul required, just a clear structure and the right support behind it.

Occupational therapy lives in the space between visits. Dressing routines, hand exercises, fine motor practice, adaptive equipment use. That between-visit work is what turns therapy into independence, yet the OT team's effort around it has historically gone undocumented and unreimbursed.

Our latest guide breaks down how RTM changes that for OT clinics, covering the six 2026 CPT codes, the billing requirements, and the workflow to operationalize it: https://hubs.li/Q04sCllV0

Exercise Tracking is now available directly in the program editor in Wibbi. Clinicians can set up patient tracking without leaving the program editor, making it part of their standard workflow. A great fit for monitoring participation, reviewing progress, and making more informed decisions throughout the plan of care.

How it works:
Build your home program as usual and save
Click Set-Up Tracking in the menu above the exercises
Choose your parameters (Done, Pain, Difficulty, Duration, Weight, Sets, Reps) for the whole program or exercise by exercise
Review results under the Tracking view once your patient completes their program

Learn how to set it up: https://hubs.li/Q04sqYdR0

Great musculoskeletal care is simpler than we sometimes make it.

It is not about more scans or more interventions. Carmel Bain of Rehab Minder highlights what the evidence celebrates: the real power is in guiding a patient from first assessment through to discharge, supporting them every step of the way.

RTM is a real revenue stream for rehab clinics, and winning at it usually comes down to clean, consistent workflow.

Because RTM sits where clinical work, documentation, and billing meet, a paid claim vs. a denied one often comes down to a few small habits: owning enrollment, capturing consent, logging the right time, and tracking monitored days against the right code.

So we mapped the 9 most common RTM billing mistakes and how to prevent each one. With the 2026 CPT updates in play, a quick tune-up now helps your program capture more of what it's already earning.

Medicare's RTM rules keep evolving, and 2026 brings a new code structure that changes what clinics can bill and when. Staying current isn't busywork. It's the line between a clean claim and a denial.

Our latest blog covers what rehab clinics need to bill Medicare for RTM with confidence: which providers and patients qualify, how the six 2026 CPT codes apply (including two new additions for shorter monitoring and management windows), and how reimbursement actually works.
