A rare sighting: the elusive Fisher! 📸👀

Fishers are notoriously difficult to spot, mostly active at night and around dawn. That's what makes these trail camera photos such an exciting find!

fishers are one of the few animals known to actively hunt porcupines? Their impressive agility allows them to maneuver around porcupines quills, allowing them to hunt without getting poked.

This particular trail camera is deployed as part of our Biodiversity Monitoring Program in a section of forest in Northern New Brunswick. The trees you see here are 45 year old black spruce, planted by our crews back in 1981!

You don't get to see this every day! 🫎🏊‍♀️

This summer, one of our tree planters was hard at work when they spotted a moose out for swim and captured this incredible video.

moose are very powerful swimmers? They will often enter the water to cool off or grab a snack, and can dive up to 20 feet (6 meters) and hold their breath for up to 30 seconds to graze on the bottom of a lake!

A familiar face across our communities!

Meet Robert Fawcett, Director of Corporate Relations, Forestry.

With more than 50 years of experience in the industry, Robert builds connections across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Working with recreation groups, educational institutions, and community and municipal leaders, he helps create partnerships and share the story of sustainable forestry.

Chances are, if you've been to one of our community events, you've seen Robert.

"What I enjoy most is meeting people and building relationships," he said. "Every community, organization, and stakeholder group has a unique perspective, and I learn something from every conversation."

Whether he's at a community event or supporting a local project, Robert is always happy to stop, chat, and make a connection.

Irving Woodlands would like to thank the team of tree planters who contributed to the record-breaking 34 million trees planted in the 2026 season.

The first smile you see at the Nature Park 🌿🌊

Meet Annie, Park Manager at the Irving Nature Park.

Whether she's answering questions, sharing knowledge about local wildlife, or welcoming visitors to the park, Annie loves helping people connect with nature.

"My favourite part of the job is getting to observe how the world changes day by day as we move through the seasons and all the critters and plants I get to look at," she said.

Annie's passion for nature isn't new. With a background in Marine Biology and a Master's degree focused on lobster development, she has spent years studying the unique Bay of Fundy ecosystems you can find at the Park.

Since joining the team this spring, Annie has enjoyed seeing that science come to life every day.

Watch till the end... and turn your volume up! 🫎📣

Yesterday our team was visiting a cedar stand from our Conservation Area's Program when they heard a moose calling nearby. One of our foresters called back, and before long a full blown moose conversation was underway!

After a few minutes of back and forth, this curious cow and bull decided to run by and investigate.

moose become much more vocal during the fall breeding season, using calls and grunts to communicate and find each other?
