For the longest time, I thought being a good mom meant putting everyone else first.
The kids. My family. Work. Everything and everyone… and me last.
As a mom and a full-time nurse, I’ve definitely had those days where I’m exhausted but still keep going because there’s always something that needs to be done.
But I’m learning that taking care of myself isn’t selfish.
I’m allowed to rest.
I’m allowed to dream.
I’m allowed to want more for my life.
I’m allowed to build something that’s mine.
Because my family doesn’t need a mom who completely forgets herself.
They need a mom who is happy, present, growing, and still chasing the dreams in her heart.
And maybe one of the best things I can teach my children is that loving your family doesn’t mean losing yourself.
So Mama, if you’ve been putting yourself last… this is your reminder:
You matter too. ❤️
What’s one little thing you’re going to do for YOU today?
