We recently had the honour of assisting two sisters as they cleared their childhood home to prepare for sale. They were overwhelmed with grief due to loss of a parent. They were overwhelmed with the lifetime of memories they were having to sort through. There was much sorrow around parting with possessions they’d been surrounded by all their lives. I understand grief. I’ve had my own experiences within it. I worked for a local hospice for a few years. I know how to hold space for people.

The sisters had already removed the treasures they held dear. We cleared the rest. We donated to thrift stores. We returned medical equipment to Red Cross. We did many dump runs. We sold furniture. We washed every surface of the home and cleaned the carpets. We did it all in a very short time. The sisters were pleased. We made hard time a little easier.

I meet the coolest cats at work.
We have been having so much fun working with Jackie Jonkheid Cleaning Services the past few weeks. I’m so grateful to all the new clients that have invited us into their homes to help organize and deep clean this past month. We did 3 whole home resets! It has been fun and incredibly rewarding to hear how happy our clients are with our results.
It’s amazing what 3 determined women can get done in a day.

It’s been a busy time assisting clients with their spring cleaning. The past 2 days saw me partner with my friend Jackie Jonkheid and do a move out clean. The chandelier was particularly rewarding to get the grime off and watch the rainbows emerge.
There was an outdoor room that had been used for smoking. We scrubbed the ceiling, walls and windows of that room for many hours. It looked great when we were done.

I recently received a call from a client enquiring if we could empty her mom's house now that her mom has been moved into a care home facility. The answer is a resounding yes. Simply Organized Home is here to compassionately handle the toughest tasks for you. This includes sensitively emptying the home after a loved one's passing or transition to a new phase of aging. I've had the privilege of assisting families where adult children lived out of province, and we ensured they didn't have to take time away from work plus the expense of flying across the country to sort through their parent's cherished belongings while preparing the home for sale. Working with us gives families peace of mind, knowing their loved one's affairs are being handled with care and compassionate intention.
