Did you know the BC Provincial Government,
starting May 01, 2023, will require energy modelling compliance reports for all building permit applications.

What does that mean? Your building will have to perform 20% more energy efficient than what the minimum BC Building Code requires prescriptively - STEP 3.

This may affect your design and overall construction budget because one may have to install more efficient mechanical and ventilation equipment's, more insulation in your constructed assemblies to achieve Step 3 compliance.

DID YOU KNOW... You can still utilize Scott Beck Consulting to complete permit applications and/or to review, liaise and draft and create permit construction drawings even if your Municipality or Regional District requires an Architect or Engineer for your project.

I am happy to work with you, your Architect or Engineer through the application and design process to ensure Municipality or Regional District compliance and to create construction plans that can be sealed and approved by your registered professional for any permit application.

(Working with and for Municipal & Regional Districts as a Licensed BOABC Building & Plumbing Inspector).
