A common thread for these top scorers was strong language scores, time working and living within our community, years of related work experience from outside and inside Canada, higher wages and the highest eligible education.

The Shuswap Trail Alliance, along with our event partner Salmon Arm Tourism, are hosting an all-ages Spring Trails Celebration, featuring Skinny Leonard & the ‘Sonic Adventurites’ with opening band A Million Dollars in Pennies, on June 06, 2026, from 4:00 – 8:00pm at the South Canoe Trailhead.
General Admission tickets are $35, $10 for 13–18-year-olds and FREE for 12 and under*.

The beverage garden will feature Barley Station, Shuswap Cider co., and Sunnybrae Vineyard & Winery and food trucks include the Yukon Smash, Switchcraft, the Tater Shack, and Van’s Grill along with ShuPops.
There will be free face painting and a large sand pile with toys for children.
*12 and under are free, but pre-registration is required.
