Many tenants face LTB alone. You don't have to.
Last year, I watched tenants walk into Landlord and Tenant Board hearings without legal representation.
They looked overwhelmed.
The reality hit me because most people simply do not have the money for a lawyer, and the legal system doesn't pause to let anyone catch up. Adjudicators will either delay proceedings or just proceed with the hearing anyway. Either way, tenants show up without a full voice.
What makes this worse is that all LTB hearings are now online.
Cold. Unsettling.
Adjudicators base decisions on the evidence right in front of them with a heavy focus on procedure. It completely dehumanizes an experience where empathy matters for everyone involved. Meanwhile, 56% of tenants participate by phone without video while landlords appear with full documentation ready to go.
The part I found shocking is that 80% of tenants actually have valid defenses.
They just don't know how to use them.
I created this guide to change this. The guide walks tenants through the entire eviction process, from the very first initial notices all the way to the LTB hearings. You get the defense strategies and rights information you need exactly when you need them most.
Knowledge shouldn't be a privilege reserved for those who have money for representation.

Every tenant deserves to show up prepared.
