Border changes from IRCC：

Fully vaccinated foreign nationals will be allowed to enter Canada for discretionary travel on the following dates if they meet specific criteria:

1. August 9: American citizens and permanent residents of the United States, currently residing in and arriving from the United States, and who qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption.

2. September 7 (intended start date): All other foreign nationals who qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption.

3. Travellers are no longer required to book a 3-night hotel stopover when entering Canada.

In celebration of the Year of the Roaster on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the Saskatoon Chinese Artist & Musician Alliance and the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan will jointly stage a unique showcase entitled “2017 Saskatoon New Year Celebration Gala” This is the third time we are providing a stage for the local Chinese residents to show their performing talent to their fellow Canadians and to celebrate the new year. We are expecting an audience of over 2,000 from the Chinese, Aboriginal and various other diverse communities in the Greater Saskatoon Area.

This talent showcase will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at:

The following outlines the objectives of this event:

1. To promote multiculturalism through performance from the diversified culture backgrounds of the local communities;
