August is Advocacy Month — and we’re Embracing Downtowns!

We met with MP Brad Redekopp to talk about public safety, repeat offenders, and the growing impacts of street‑level crime. We also pushed for a national, data‑driven action plan on mental health, addiction, and homelessness — with clear benchmarks and accountability tied to federal funding.

A highlight of the week: connecting with our Clean Team, supported by the Canada Summer Job Grant. Their work keeps our district clean and vibrant all summer long, and two members have now become full‑time Downtown Saskatoon employees.

Saskatoon Goes Country for CCMA Country Music Week!

Canadian Country Music Week rides into Saskatoon September 16–20, bringing thousands of visitors downtown, and your business can be part of the celebration!

The Saskatoon Goes Country Program is free, takes about 10 minutes to register, and participation can be as simple as a themed menu item, a promotion, decorated storefront, or some country tunes playing in-store.

Participating businesses receive:

✔️A digital marketing toolkit
✔️A commemorative Saskatoon Goes Country bandana
✔️A listing on the citywide visitor map
✔️Recognition as part of the celebration

Register by the end of this week, Friday, August 28 to receive the full asset kit and be included on the map! ⬇️

Downtown Saskatoon isn’t downtown without our community!

Let’s gather in celebration to experience Ukrainian culture at the 25th Annual Ukrainian Day in the Park this Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at Kiwanis Memorial Park.

Admission is FREE and the festivities last all day, from 11:00AM until 6:00PM. Enjoy the stage performances, live music and dance shows, traditional Ukrainian food vendors, beer gardens, children’s activities, crafts and so much more!
