Lighten the load this spring by getting nitrogen in place this fall.

Moving all or a portion of your urea application to fall can help simplify the busiest season of the year:

✓ Less weight on the drill
✓ Fewer fills during seeding
✓ More acres covered between stops
✓ Less fertilizer to handle when every minute counts

The key is protecting that fall-applied nitrogen so it’s still working for your crop come spring.

Ta**us offers nitrogen management options including ARM U, TSN and Active Stabilizer Plus to help build a fall fertility program that fits your farm.

Talk to your local Ta**us Agronomic Account Manager about your nitrogen strategy.

🌾 Yield isn’t all built at seeding. It’s finished at grain fill.

During grain fill, your crop is deciding kernel size, kernel weight, and ultimately yield. Active GrainFILL™ delivers the nutrients and plant physiology support needed to maximize this critical stage:

• 10% Nitrogen → Supports protein synthesis and grain development
• 14% Potassium → Moves sugars into developing kernels for larger, heavier seed
• 6.5% Sulfur → Improves nitrogen efficiency and protein formation
• 0.05% Kinetin → Delays senescence and extends the grain fill period
• Amino acids, vitamins & iron → Support photosynthesis and stress tolerance

The goal isn’t just more kernels. It’s filling every kernel to its genetic potential.

Ask your Ta**us representative or local ag retail about adding Active GrainFILL™ to your fungicide application this season.

💸 GOING BARE ON N?

That’s a $180-$240/ac gamble.

Nitrogen is one of the biggest investments in your fertility program. The challenge isn’t applying N. It’s keeping it available when the crop needs it.

University research has shown untreated urea can lose the equivalent of more than 20 lb N/ac, while stabilized nitrogen programs have reduced losses by up to 96%, helping retain nearly 19 lb N/ac for crop uptake.

Think about that for a moment.

At today’s nitrogen prices, losing 20 lb N/ac across a quarter section adds up fast. And that’s before considering the yield potential left behind.

Independent trials have also demonstrated yield increases of up to 9-15 bu/ac when stabilized nitrogen was compared to untreated nitrogen applications.

The question isn’t whether you can afford a stabilizer.

The question is whether you can afford to lose the nitrogen you’ve already paid for.

Heat stress during flowering can significantly reduce pollen viability, fertilization success, and ultimately pod set.

Active PodFILL X is designed to support reproductive physiology during this critical yield determining stage by enhancing water movement within the plant, improving cellular turgor, and supplying key nutrients involved in flower retention and pod development.

Applied prior to a period of extreme heat exceeding 40°C, PodFILL X helped maintain flowering activity and reproductive potential when environmental stress was at its peak.

The result is visible in the field.

More flowers retained.
More opportunities for successful fertilization.
More pods carried through to maturity.

Yield is not determined at harvest.

It is determined when flowers become pods.

When a pulse crop receives a herbicide application, growth slows as the plant shifts energy toward detoxification and recovery. Adding more nitrogen does little to support that process and can sometimes add additional stress.

VPR Plus delivers balanced macro nutrition including phosphorus and potassium alongside nitrogen, helping maintain energy production, root activity, nutrient movement, and plant health during one of the most stressful periods of the season.

The result?

✓ Improved stress tolerance

✓ Faster recovery after application

✓ More biomass production

✓ Better root development

✓ Greater yield potential

These side by side plants tell the story.

Healthy plants handle stress better. Better recovery means more days growing and fewer days surviving.

Balanced Nutrition Builds Better Plants

Left: Competitor
Right: Active BUILD

Same field. Same season. Very different foundation.

The plants treated with Active BUILD developed larger root systems, thicker crowns, and significantly more biomass. When crops have access to balanced nutrition during critical growth stages, they can invest more energy below ground and above ground, creating a stronger, more resilient plant.

Why does it matter?

✓ More root mass for improved water and nutrient uptake
✓ Increased biomass production and photosynthetic capacity
✓ Stronger plants that are better equipped to handle stress
✓ Greater nutrient reserves to support flowering and pod set
✓ Improved yield potential through healthier plant development

Plants don’t yield because they’re simply fed. They yield because they’re able to efficiently capture sunlight, water, and nutrients throughout the season.

Balanced nutrition helps build the engine that drives yield.

Healthy plants handle stress better.

Every stress event, whether it’s heat, drought, herbicide applications, or environmental extremes, triggers the production of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) inside the plant. When ROS levels become too high, they damage cell membranes, chlorophyll, and the plant’s ability to efficiently produce energy.

The plant’s natural defense system relies on enzymes like Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) to neutralize these harmful compounds before they cause lasting damage.

When nutrition is limited, the plant spends more time fighting stress and less time building yield.

In this growers field comparison, wheat treated with Active BUILD maintained better plant health, fuller heads, and reduced floret abortion compared to a leading competitor.

Supporting plant nutrition during reproductive growth helps the crop manage oxidative stress, maintain photosynthetic activity, and direct more energy toward grain production.

Healthier plants.
Better stress tolerance.
Greater yield potential.

Early season differences are already showing. 🌱

Active Prime on the left. Untreated on the right.

Longer roots. More aggressive early growth. More uniform development before this crop has even emerged.

That matters in a year where every plant is fighting for moisture, nutrients, and heat.

The difference starts below the surface.

This Ontario trial should be out of the ground within a week, and we’ll be back to see how that early advantage translates above ground.

20 days post planting and the difference is already showing.

Active Prime + AGTIV IGNITE are driving stronger root development, improved early vigor, and more aggressive establishment in barley.

More biology. More nutrition. More plant potential from day one.

The difference starts below the surface.
