Every great community starts with a warm welcome.

That's exactly what Thea Lomibao brings to WESK every day. As our Administrative Support, she's the first person many members connect with, and she makes sure every entrepreneur feels seen, heard, and supported.

Thea brings a wealth of experience to her role, from her Business Administration diploma and B.Comm degree to her time with the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce. But what truly sets her apart is her genuine love for hearing women's ideas and helping them find their place in WESK's community.

Join us in celebrating Thea and the incredible work she does! 🎉

Have you connected with Thea? Give her a shout-out in the comments!

WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year Changemakers & Trailblazers honourees:
Alexandra Kulas, Sarah Buettner & Kim Lameront

The Changemakers & Trailblazers category celebrates entrepreneurs who reshape what's possible, breaking new ground through innovation, creativity, and courageous decision-making. They challenge the status quo and create new paths forward for their industries and communities.

Alexandra Kulas & Sarah Buettner Pulse City Club & Co-Working – Pulse City Club & ProducKIDvity 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
Alexandra and Sarah pioneered Canada's first fully licensed childcare facility integrated with professional coworking, an entirely new category of family-focused infrastructure. They are building a model where parents don't have to choose between professional ambition and present, engaged parenting.

"ProducKIDvity is Canada's first fully licensed childcare facility designed alongside professional coworking. This wasn't an incremental improvement on an existing daycare model — it was a structural rethink of what 'childcare infrastructure' could mean."

Kim Lameront Healing Horizons for FND – Healing Horizons for Functional Neurological Disorder 🧠
Kim federally incorporated Healing Horizons for FND as a Canadian nonprofit and built a national digital support platform for people living with FND, caregivers, and supporters. She independently developed a growing resource hub with approximately 178 pages focused on accessibility, low cognitive load, and trauma-informed support.

"Building a national support initiative for a misunderstood neurological condition required creating new approaches without established roadmaps, while advocating for more inclusive and accessible support systems."

2026 WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year Changemakers & Trailblazers honourees:
Tennille Corbett & Crystal Warlow

The Changemakers & Trailblazers category celebrates entrepreneurs who reshape what's possible, breaking new ground through innovation, creativity, and courageous decision-making. They challenge the status quo and create new paths forward for their industries and communities.

Tennille Corbett – ApotheCare Support Registry, Inc. 💝
After her own cancer diagnosis, Tennille transformed her experience into a solution that supports others. She co-founded ApotheCare, Canada's first cancer support registry and marketplace, a platform that helps patients receive meals, groceries, transportation, and essential items in a coordinated way.

"If it doesn't scare you, it's not big enough. That is the standard I hold myself to, and it is the thread that runs through everything I build."

Crystal Warlow (Joi photography & Being Brave Club ) – Being Brave Club & Joi Photo 📸
Crystal created Being Brave Club from a desire to connect with adventurous, like-minded women. What started as one monthly hike has grown into a thriving community offering year-round events, memberships, retreats, and online programs, using neuroscience to intentionally design confidence-building experiences.

"BBC is a unique community that combines networking, women's empowerment, wellness, well-being and adventure. There's nothing like this in our community, or in Canada really. Our range of experiences opens the door for women of all ages and backgrounds to try something new without being alone in it."

2026 WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year Changemakers & Trailblazers honourees:
Kelly Gosselin & Krista Russell

The Changemakers & Trailblazers category celebrates entrepreneurs who reshape what's possible, breaking new ground through innovation, creativity, and courageous decision-making. They challenge the status quo and create new paths forward for their industries and communities.

Kelly Gosselin (High Regard Artisanal Catering & Kitchen ) – High Regard Artisanal Catering & Kitchen 🍽️
Kelly has built a premium catering brand in a smaller Saskatchewan market while bringing Métis representation into an industry where Indigenous business ownership is still highly underrepresented. She is the exclusive caterer for the Moose Jaw Centre for Arts & Culture, the first time a caterer has been given these rights in this historic building.

"I have built a premium catering brand in a smaller Saskatchewan market. I focus on supporting local, while growing my own food as well. I offer fresh, high quality, wholesome cuisine, and provide flavor forward food."

Krista Russell (Timeless Quilt Studio ) – Timeless Quilt Studio 🧵
Krista is challenging the idea that people living in remote communities should have fewer opportunities, fewer choices, and higher costs than those in larger centres. Through her studio in La Ronge, she provides classes, quilting services, and access to sewing and quilting supplies in a region where many makers have traditionally travelled 2.5 hours or more.

"As a business owner in Northern Saskatchewan, I am working to challenge the idea that people living in remote communities should have fewer opportunities, fewer choices, and higher costs than those living in larger centres."

2026 WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year Changemakers & Trailblazers honourees:
Kim Deschamps & Tanna Dietrich

The Changemakers & Trailblazers category celebrates entrepreneurs who reshape what's possible, breaking new ground through innovation, creativity, and courageous decision-making. They challenge the status quo and create new paths forward for their industries and communities.

Kim Deschamps (Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness ) – Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness 🏥
Kim started as a solo physiotherapist with a fold-up treatment table and has grown into a multidisciplinary wellness clinic bringing together physiotherapists, massage therapists, counsellors, dietitians, and nurses. She built a collaborative care model that challenges the traditional siloed approach to healthcare.

"When I founded Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness in 2016, I wasn't trying to build a clinic. I was trying to solve a problem I experienced firsthand as a healthcare provider. I saw a system where healthcare professionals often worked in silos, communication between providers was limited, and individuals were left to navigate complex health concerns on their own."

Tanna Dietrich ( Balloon Bar YQR ) – Balloon Bar YQR 🎈
When a global helium shortage threatened her business, Tanna didn't wait, she pivoted. She launched a brand new air-filled collection and pushed herself creatively, proving that setbacks fuel innovation. She recently completed a pitch competition and won with her long-term plan to franchise Balloon Bar YQR.

"Setbacks are unavoidable in entrepreneurship, but they also fuel creativity. Things that make you say 'Oh sh**' are also the things that make you say 'What now?' I'm a Trailblazer because I'm a Creative first and foremost. There will always be challenges. There will also always be innovative ways to bring joy to my community."*

2026 WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year Changemakers & Trailblazers honourees:
Elysia Vandenhurk & Natasha Vandenhurk

The Changemakers & Trailblazers category celebrates entrepreneurs who reshape what's possible, breaking new ground through innovation, creativity, and courageous decision-making. They challenge the status quo and create new paths forward for their industries and communities.

Elysia & Natasha Vandenhurk ( Three Farmers Foods ) – Three Farmers Foods 🌾
When the industry said pulses could never become great-tasting salty snacks—and no manufacturer could create the clean, crisp, nutrient-preserving crunch they envisioned—they built the process themselves. Three Farmers Foods has grown from a Saskatchewan start-up into one of Canada's fastest-growing better-for-you brands, proving a small prairie company can become a national contender.

"Changemakers rewrite what others accept as fixed. Trailblazers step into places where no path exists and build one anyway. That is the story of Three Farmers Foods. When the industry said pulses could never become great‑tasting salty snacks - and no manufacturer could create the clean, crisp, nutrient‑preserving crunch we envisioned - we built the process ourselves."

WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year Rooted & Rising honourees:
Lisa Haynes & Marea Olafson

The Rooted & Rising category celebrates entrepreneurs who are deeply grounded in Saskatchewan while growing their influence and impact beyond the province. They lead with integrity, create opportunities for others, and carry Saskatchewan's values with them as they expand.

Lisa Haynes (Farm Systems for Success - Lisa Haynes ) – Farm Systems For Success 🌾
Lisa is creating a safe place for farm families to ask for help, streamlining processes and addressing the overwhelm often felt in agriculture. As a recognized community leader, she is giving a voice to a sector and demographic often overlooked, while her influence reaches beyond Saskatchewan through her global Facebook following.

"As a recognized community leader, I am able to model what has worked for me. As a facilitator for WESK's peer mentorship groups, as a WESK rural ambassador and a representative of the Ag industry on a global scale, I am able to help entrepreneurs across the province, country and the world find the help and the resources they need."

Marea Olafson (Freba Pottery ) – Freba Pottery 🏺
Marea has built Freba Pottery into a rural creative destination rooted in Saskatchewan's prairie landscape. Through Claycation retreats, her 24/7 honour-system pottery store, and ÉCONOMUSÉE development, she has created a business that brings people to rural Saskatchewan and showcases what is possible from a small prairie place.

"I am Rooted & Rising because Freba Pottery is deeply grounded in rural Saskatchewan, while continuing to grow in reach, visibility, and impact. My business is built from this place — the prairie landscape, the values of trust and care, the strength of small communities, and the belief that meaningful work can grow from rural roots."
