In 2022, we hosted our first-ever Safety Day—bringing teams together to focus on what matters most: keeping everyone safe, every day.

What started as a one-time event has grown into an annual tradition, now featuring safety vendors, guest speakers, hands-on learning, and resources that help our teams stay informed and prepared.

Here’s to the progress we’ve made—and the work that continues. 👏

Thank you to the Saskatchewan Mining Association, Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, and Regina Chamber of Commerce for hosting a fantastic luncheon and for bringing the industry together to celebrate the strength and future of mining in our province.

We’re especially proud of Angie Symes, Senior Manager of Mining at K+S Potash Canada, for representing our team and delivering a strong, insightful perspective on the future of potash and our Ramp-Up Program. Meet Donna, Manager, Accounting & Corporate Tax at K+S.

Volunteering has been part of Donna’s life since childhood, inspired by watching her parents give back. Over the years, she’s brought her accounting and leadership skills to several non-profit boards and today, she supports Cheshire Homes as Treasurer.

In this role, Donna provides financial oversight, chairs the Finance Committee, supports the Executive Director, and recently helped guide the organization through a conversion to a new accounting system.

Through Volunteer Plus+, Donna uses paid volunteer hours to attend meetings and community events and directs the $300 annual donation to the organization she supports.

“My volunteer work builds empathy, problem-solving, and leadership,” Donna says – skills she brings back into her work every day.

We’re proud to support employees like Donna who use their professional skills to strengthen the organizations that support our communities.

Bird deterrent cannons are a non lethal way to keep birds safe while protecting our site. Using loud, periodic sound bursts, they discourage birds from landing or nesting in large outdoor areas like our brine reclaim pond. 🔊

Powered by a car battery and propane tank, these cannons fire at set intervals and work best when combined with other visual or audible deterrents. Simple, effective, and wildlife friendly!

to a major milestone in our journey — the official opening of the Legacy Camp! 🎉

Designed to support one of the province’s most significant resource projects, the camp played a critical role in housing and transporting the construction workforce safely and efficiently during the build of the Legacy Project. At peak construction, it helped accommodate hundreds of workers contributing to what would become Saskatchewan’s first new greenfield potash mine in nearly 40 years.

Beyond infrastructure, the Legacy Camp also represented meaningful collaboration — with strong partnerships involving Indigenous communities, contractors, and local businesses all contributing to its success.

From construction to commissioning, this was a key chapter in building something that continues to support communities, industry, and global food production today.
