🚑 : Medical Response Unit 🚑

Meet our Medical Response Unit, a fully stocked Type 2 Ambulance that plays a critical role in emergency medical response.

Staffed by ERT members trained as Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), this unit allows us to provide immediate care and safely transport sick or injured personnel to hospital when needed.

Having this ambulance on-site enhances our emergency response capabilities and helps reduce reliance on ambulances from Regina, ensuring faster access to care when every minute matters.

From initial assessment and treatment to patient transport, the Medical Response Unit is an essential part of keeping our people safe and supported.

Today, we reflect on the lasting impacts of Canada’s Residential School System and the intergenerational effects that continue to be felt today. We encourage everyone to take time to listen, learn, and deepen their understanding of this history as part of the ongoing journey toward truth, healing, and reconciliation.

Meet Stacey Schemmer, Dry End Operator at KSPC, who has been with us for three years.

Outside of work, Stacey volunteers with Running Wild Rescue, helping care for animals as they arrive at the rescue. From feeding and cleaning to sanitizing spaces in the “quarantine shop,” her work helps prepare animals for placement with foster families. Stacey’s shift schedule makes it possible to give back. While K+S’ volunteer hours and $300 donation match help ensure local rescues get both time and funding when they need it most.

This is one of our Titan 250 Gas Turbines, a cornerstone of our new COGEN facility. Each unit produces 22-23 MW of electricity, enough to make a major impact on our site's energy needs.

What makes COGEN special? The turbine's exhaust heat doesn't go to waste. It's captured and converted into steam used in potash production, allowing us to generate both electricity and process steam from the same fuel source. The result: greater efficiency, improved reliability, and a stronger operation every day.

Jessica, our Occupational Health Nurse, is giving back close to home by volunteering at her local childcare centre in Bethune.
