Live-In Companion & Care Support (Saskatoon, SK)
Private Suite | Immigration Support Available | Long-Term Role
We are seeking a kind, reliable, and warm individual to join our home as a live-in companion and occasional medical support person for a 79-year-old lady in Saskatoon.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who values meaningful human connection and a peaceful home environment. The role is not intensive caregiving, but rather a combination of companionship, light support, and general presence for peace of mind.
Living Arrangement
• Fully private lower-level suite (bedroom, living area, bathroom with shower)
• All utilities, internet, and food included
• Fully furnished
• Access to a vehicle for errands and appointments
About the Role
• Provide companionship (tea, conversation, shared meals)
• Assist with light daily activities (especially supervision during bathing)
• Help with meal preparation (must enjoy cooking)
• Support with shopping and appointments (driver’s license required)
• Be present and available to monitor overall well-being
• Communicate any health concerns to family
This is a supportive, roommate-style role, not a high-intensity caregiving position.
Schedule & Expectations
• General availability:
o Late morning to afternoon (approx. 10 AM – 4 PM)
o Evening presence (dinner to ~9–10 PM)
• Flexible schedule with freedom to come and go (with notice)
• Regular days off can be arranged
• On-call availability in case of illness or urgent needs
Compensation
• Monthly salary (based on mututally acceptable wage structure)
• $500/month deduction for room and board (private suite + all living costs included + all food)
• Dental benefits
• Additional compensation available for candidates with healthcare/nursing background
• performance bonus of $2500 per year of service at the conclusion of the contract
Immigration Support
• Open work permit candidates welcome
• Support and appropriate job offer provided toward Permanent Residency (PR)
• Ideal for someone seeking long-term stability in Canada
Ideal Candidate
• Kind, patient, and emotionally intelligent
• Enjoys cooking, conversation, and companionship
• Organized, responsible, and observant
• Holds a valid driver’s license
• Basic English communication skills (Farsi/Persian is an asset)
• Non-smoker
• Able to provide criminal record check
