Full Job Description

Established Grande Prairie Company requires an experienced and independent senior accountant who thrives in a fast paced environment. Must be receptive to new challenges with a high level of attention to detail. This position in highly evolving and requires a strong commitment to company growth. The office is located outside of GP and candidate must be comfortable commuting to work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable for multiple companies
Accounts Receivable for multiple companies
Bank Reconciliations
General Ledger Entries
Office Organization including filing
Assisting with bi-weekly payroll
Performing various bookkeeping duties as required
Comply with financial controls, standards and procedures
Reconciling monthly activity, generating year-end reports, and fulfilling tax related requirements.
Develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Meticulous with great attention to detail and problem solving skills required
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and function well under stress
Ability to prioritize tasks and workload
Must work well alone
Excellent computer skills, including high proficiency using Excel & Word
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop Accounting Software
EDUCATION

Accounting Diploma / Certificate, Accounting Designation, an advantage
Minimum 3 years AP/AR experience required - only those with experience will be considered
Wages will be determined by experience and qualifications.

Tower Services has an immediate opening for an experienced and dependable heavy duty mechanic.

Duties:

Ensure all appropriate company and client safety procedures are followed while working in both shop and field environments
Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner in preparation of work orders and service callouts and accurately complete corresponding service reports
Perform mechanical diagnostics on engines, transmissions, fuel systems, ABS, heating systems, and all other relevant mechanical components
Advise company managers on mechanical repairs and routine maintenance as required for optimal performance
Manage and/or Respond to callouts promptly, in all weather conditions, during after hours, and in numerous work settings
Complete tasks as assigned by the foreman or onsite supervisor.
Qualifications:

Journeymen Heavy Equipment Technician preferred OR third year apprentice with demonstrated experience in CAT equipment repair, construction equipment repair, agriculture equipment repair and heavy trucks/trailers repair.
MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE - DOZERS, LOADERS, HOES ECT..
Prior experience in agriculture, heavy hauling and the oilfield an asset
Hands on, self-starter, capable of working independently
Clean Drivers Abstract

Now Hiring Farm/Construction/Landscape Labourer

ALL APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT RESUME

We are looking for some summer help on our properties and within our businesses near Sexsmith, Alberta.

Main duties include:

Daily documentation and log recording
Debris and garbage pickup and removal from sites to County Landfill
Being diligent of safety policies and procedures, and adhere to all company policies.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and call for repairs
Help clean/maintain cleanliness of shop, equipment, and storage sheds
Painting and general yard maintenance as requested
Assist mechanics and other trades when required
Provide support with delivering and picking up tools, parts and supplies.
Landscaping – including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting and watering.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Class 5 drivers license with a reliable vehicle
Prior experience operating landscaping equipment
Experience hauling a trailer and tying down loads.
Able to perform heavy lifting and physical labour
Be comfortable working in all weather conditions
Be a strong team player with high standards, excellent interpersonal skills and a professional approach
Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
Have Basic knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance
Be comfortable pulling a trailer with a pick-up truck.
Have Basic knowledge of tool operation and maintenance
Must have willingness to learn and have strong attention to detail and quality.
Clean Criminal Record Check
Must be able to read and speak English.
Hours/Working Conditions:

The working environments are farm, construction or industrial sites, including shops. Most work will be outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Fast paced work environment with many opportunities for growth. Hours are negotiable but it is considered a full-time position. We would prefer 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
