Happy Thanksgiving!

Today, we’re feeling grateful for good people, strong communities, and the everyday moments that bring everyone together.

To our team, customers, and the communities we’re proud to serve, thank you.

Wishing you a warm and joyful Thanksgiving, filled with good company, good food, and maybe one extra slice of pie.

Some everyday items are secretly more high-maintenance than they look.

Paint, batteries, chemicals, and oils might seem harmless sitting in the garage, under the sink, or in the back of a drawer, but they don’t always belong in the regular bin.

Here’s a quick reminder:
• Paint should stay sealed and be taken to the proper drop-off option.
• Batteries should be recycled through accepted programs whenever available.
• Chemicals should be handled carefully and kept in their original containers when possible.
• Oils should never be poured down drains, onto the ground, or tossed into regular waste unless your local program says it’s accepted.

Small choices like these help protect waste streams, workers, communities, and the environment we all share.

Because hazardous waste doesn’t always look dangerous, but it still deserves the right destination.

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry this history.

This day is a reminder to listen, learn, reflect, and take part in reconciliation with respect and responsibility.

Today and every day, we recognize that truth comes before reconciliation.

The roads we take are more than routes. They connect homes, businesses, communities, and the people who keep them moving every day.

As Manitoba grows, every choice we make matters. How we serve, how we care, and how we protect the places we all share.

Here’s to cleaner communities, stronger connections, and a future we can keep building together.

Last Thursday on August 6, MWM Environmental hosted a Town Hall in Winnipeg to share information and connect with individuals interested in learning more about our exciting new contract with the City of Winnipeg, set to begin in early 2027.
The session provided an opportunity to introduce MWM Environmental, share details about the upcoming contract, discuss what to expect as we prepare for the transition, and answer questions from attendees.

We were thrilled to see such strong interest and engagement throughout the session. Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked thoughtful questions, and took the time to learn more about what’s ahead.

We’re excited about this next chapter and look forward to continuing to share information as we prepare for a successful start in the new year.
