Last Thursday on August 6, MWM Environmental hosted a Town Hall in Winnipeg to share information and connect with individuals interested in learning more about our exciting new contract with the City of Winnipeg, set to begin in early 2027.
The session provided an opportunity to introduce MWM Environmental, share details about the upcoming contract, discuss what to expect as we prepare for the transition, and answer questions from attendees.

We were thrilled to see such strong interest and engagement throughout the session. Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked thoughtful questions, and took the time to learn more about what’s ahead.

We’re excited about this next chapter and look forward to continuing to share information as we prepare for a successful start in the new year.

A plastic bottle, an aluminum can, and a glass bottle may look like everyday items, but after disposal, each one begins a very different journey.
Responsible disposal depends on one simple moment: how we choose to throw something away. Here is a simple place to start:
• Plastic bottles: empty, rinse, and place them in the proper recycling stream.
• Aluminum cans: empty, rinse, and recycle. Avoid sending cans with food, liquid, or other waste inside.
• Glass bottles: empty, rinse, and separate if your local recycling program requires it. Do not mix broken glass with regular recyclables unless accepted.
Because waste is not just what we leave behind. It is also what we decide can have another path. So the next time something leaves your hand, take a moment to choose where its next journey begins.
