This one is definitely a crane operator’s post.
We needed to reach-out a 187 feet at 50% of the capacity of the crane to put 2 people and hoses in the manbasket for shotcrete work to stabilize the sliding highway. We needed 181’of power boom and 59’ of jib and an offset of 37.3 degrees to make it happen.
We measured it and said yes to the job and it came in at 189.2 feet at 50% capacity. Nailed it✔️ but I’m sure it caused a few more gray hairs and at least one sleepless night😄.

I helped and craned the Creekside gondola in 96 and then Big Red in 97 under HSE.. These pictures here is my son Theo 26 yrs later stripping them down for demolition to make way for the new lifts coming this year. So he would’ve been ONE when I did them for Whistler mtn.. Man time flies and Theo is ruining my legacy 😡😄😉
