We are currently recruiting for the following position at our Grand Falls location:
Office Receptionist
Duties Include:
• General office duties, including receiving/distributing emails, answering/directing calls etc.
• Entering/organizing scale tickets and roll off bin requests.
• Customer relations, including inquiries and serving customers is part of the duties.
• Entering/tracking trucking information.
• Open to learning to use specialized computer scales/dispatch systems as required.
• Responsible for cash payout for scrap metal purchases and recording daily cash transactions.
• Other duties, as directed by senior management
• Work daily shifts 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday weekly.
General office and computer skills would be an asset. Knowledge and experience with Excel and MS Office are key requirements. Certificate of Good Conduct is required and must be bondable.

The first two sessions of the 2026 Project Zero econext Incubator, presented by Newco Metal & Auto Recycling Ltd are officially underway!

We kicked things off with an introductory session led by Audrey Parnell, which provided participants with an overview of the incubator program, what to expect throughout the journey, and the opportunities ahead for their ventures.

Our second session, held on May 29, focused on laying the foundation for business success. Yiyin Liu of ReLab Arts, the 2025 Pitch Competition winner, along with Dipesh Maharjan of Mitacs shared insights during the session.

It has been exciting to see the cohort already building connections, sharing ideas, and making meaningful progress in the early stages of the program. We’re looking forward to continuing to support these ventures as they grow and develop over the coming months.

Now Hiring General Laborer / Line Picker. Night Shift.
Hours and Days are Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs nights from 5pm to 5am.
Must have own transportation to location.
Newco Metal & Auto Recycling Ltd is currently seeking an employee to work as general laborer / line picker to join the team at our 390 Incinerator Road, St. John’s Facility. If you are a team player, then look no further!
Responsibilities:
•Sort specific items based on type, grade, and required recycling process
•Asset on the normal operation and maintenance of the of the shredder and the stages of the separation process.
Requirements:
•Must be able to do repetitive tasks, stand for long periods of time, and able to lift 50 lbs.
•Must be safety conscious, ensuring fire prevention following safety guidelines at all times
•Must be able to work shift work as assigned.
•Work independently.

Night shift also comes with a night shift hourly bonus.
