The past 6–8 months have been an absolute whirlwind, and it’s been hard to find time for the little things … like actually showcasing some of the work I’ve been doing.
This one was a particularly fun project.
The Crown & Molar blends old school sign making with modern production techniques: hand cut aluminum, 3D printing, CNC machining, digital print, and plotter cut gold chrome vinyl. A lot of different processes came together on this one, and I think the result speaks for itself.
And there’s a great story behind the name…
The original owner of the house, where this sign now hangs, was Irish and a dentist who operated his practice right out of the home. Years later, part of the house was transformed into an authentic style Irish pub.
An Irish pub in a former dentist’s house?
The Crown & Molar. 🍺🦷
And a big shout out to Sheila Boone for the logo design… she absolutely nailed it. The concept, character, and old school pub feel of the logo gave me a great foundation to bring to life.
Definitely one of the more unique signs I’ve had the opportunity to make!
Great Job Ben!
