Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Production Summer Student is responsible for assisting with set-up, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations. This is a rotating continental shift including evenings and weekends. Shifts are 12 hours long. The starting wage is $19.00 an hour. There are ample opportunities to get involved, learn and grow with Cascades. Located in St. Mary's Ontario.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Feed the machines and assist with setting-up various sections on machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
Obtain order and verify stock specifications and condition.
Monitor box quality, and report any quality problems to the Operator.
Complete necessary administrative duties and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Assist operators with job duties on machine.
Turn in maintenance orders to shift lead for repairs.
Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including conduct, Health & Safety and maintaining good housekeeping, as well as all government regulations.
