🚨 DISASTER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (DFA) SUPPORT IN STONEWALL 🚨

If your home, business, farm, or non-profit organization was impacted by the recent flooding, representatives from the Provincial Recovery and Mitation Team will be in Stonewall to help.

📍 Veterans Memorial Sports Complex (VMSC)
550 Main Street, Stonewall

📅 June 19 & 20
⏰ 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Staff will be available to:
✔ Answer questions about DFA eligibility and applications
✔ Assist with completing applications
✔ Provide support regarding inspections, if required

Additional supports available:
🧠 Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority Mental Health Resource Team (11 AM to 7 PM both days)
🏠 Manitoba Health Inspectors to provide guidance on flood clean-up and safe re-entry to homes

Please bring:
✅ Identification
✅ Tax Roll Number
✅ Photos of damages
✅ Insurance Policy Information

Paper DFA applications are available at the Town Office for residents who do not have internet access or are unable to print forms.

If you experienced overland flooding, sewage backup, power outage impacts, or other flood-related damages, we encourage you to attend and speak directly with Provincial representatives.

Big opportunity rolling into Stonewall this spring! 🌟

Assiniboine College is bringing its Health Care Aide Certificate program to Stonewall starting this May.

If you’ve been thinking about a career in health care, this is a chance to train close to home while building the skills needed to support patients and families in our communities. The six month program includes hands on learning, practicums, and training with experienced professionals in a real lab setting.

Health Care Aides play an essential role in our health system, especially as communities like ours continue to grow and need more compassionate, skilled caregivers.
