Good Afternoon, Stonewall!

Today marks the end of our curbside flood debris pickup program. As of today, we will no longer be offering curbside pickups.

We will continue to have garbage bins available outside our fence along Patterson Drive in the Industrial Park for anyone who still needs to dispose of flood-damaged items.

A sincere thank you to Prairie Green Landfill for partnering with us and supporting our community's cleanup efforts over the past couple of weeks.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all of our employees who answered calls, emptied bins, and helped with the countless pickups.

A special thank you goes to Ryan, Thayne, Greg, James, Lorne, and Dwayne, who worked tirelessly, driving every street in Stonewall to collect flood-damaged debris. Your dedication and hard work made a real difference.

Over the past couple of weeks, we had the opportunity to meet many of you. We heard your stories, shared conversations, and even shed a few tears together. Thank you to everyone who offered us water, snacks, kind words, and heartfelt appreciation while we were out in the community. Those gestures meant more than you know.

We've read your messages and comments on Facebook, and we're grateful we could help lighten the load for so many families during this difficult time.

We Are Currently Looking For: YARD STAFF

In Our Scrap Yard Located In Stonewall, MB

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask and works excellent as a team.
Candidate will assist with unloading trucks, effectively learn the yard layout and move metal around on a forklift. Must be familiar with and must adhere to service requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times. A high level of customer service and a willingness to learn are a must.

Performs other duties as directed by management.
Candidate Will Be Required To:
-Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
-Conduct pre-shift safety inspection of equipment, Ensure proper maintenance.
-Operate forklift.
-Keeps yard clean and well organized and safe.
-Unload customers non-ferrous items from vehicles.
-Direct customers to the scale.
-Bailing & sorting of non-ferrous items.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED.
-Ability to work inside and outside during all-weather conditions.
-Attention to detail and accuracy.
-Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits.
-Punctual & Reliable.
-Good communication skills.
-Team player.
-Self-motivated & eager to learn new skills.
Physical Demands:
-Physically able to perform various duties of lifting, carrying, reaching & stretching.
-Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Work Environment:
-Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors.
-Work will occur in an industrial environment.

Good Morning Stonewall.
We will continue with pick up of flood damaged items today and tomorrow.

With the overwhelming number of phone calls and messages. Pick ups are taking a little longer than we were planning.

Please be patient as we are making our way through the town to collect everyone's damaged items from the flood.

Couple Reminders For Residents:

1. We still have bins located outside our yard in the industrial park area in Stonewall. For disposal of flood damaged items.

2. Please mark the pile at the end of your driveway with ISR to make pick ups easy to identify.

3. Please pile items as neatly as possible and any lose debris please place in garbage bags or in boxes to make pick ups as quick as possible so we can get to as many houses as possible in a day.

Interlake Salvage & Recycling Will Be Continuing With Pick Up Of Flood Damaged Items Today.

With the overwhelming response to items needing to be picked up.
We are asking that residents:

-PLEASE pile stuff up as neatly as possible and any loose items place into garbage bags or boxes to make up pick up as quickly as possible.

-Mark on the pile ISR to make it easier for our crew to identify what houses to pick up from.

We Will Be Working On The Area On The Map Below Today.

🚨 Free Flood Debris Pickup 🚨

Interlake Salvage & Recycling will be offering free pickup and disposal of flood-damaged items.

If you have items that need to be disposed of they must be placed at the END OF YOUR DRIVEWAY. Our team will be picking up items over the next couple of days.

Interlake Salvage & Recycling will have bins available at our west gate for the disposal of flood-damaged items. These bins will be accessible 24/7 during clean up efforts.
There is no charge for dumping items into these bins.

We are also working on additional flood relief options to help residents dispose of flood-damaged materials and will share updates as more information becomes available.
