We Are Currently Looking For:
YARD STAFF In Our Scrap Yard Located In Stonewall, MB
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask and works excellent as a team.
Candidate will assist with unloading trucks, effectively learn the yard layout and move metal around on a forklift. Must be familiar with and must adhere to service requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times. A high level of customer service and a willingness to learn are a must. Performs other duties as directed by management.
Candidate Will Be Required To:
-Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
-Conduct pre-shift safety inspection of equipment, Ensure proper maintenance.
-Operate forklift.
-Keeps yard clean and well organized and safe.
-Unload customers non-ferrous items from vehicles.
-Direct customers to the scale.
-Bailing & sorting of non-ferrous items.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED.
-Ability to work inside and outside during all-weather conditions.
-Attention to detail and accuracy.
-Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits.
-Punctual & Reliable.
-Good communication skills.
-Team player.
-Self-motivated & eager to learn new skills.
Physical Demands:
-Physically able to perform various duties of lifting, carrying, reaching & stretching.
-Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Work Environment:
-Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors.
-Work will occur in an industrial environment.
