Makes so much sense!

Have you noticed that your baby will often only settle in your arms, as you rock them gently?

There is a very good reason for this: it is biological and entirely normal behaviour as a baby transitions from womb to world. The contrasts between life inside and in the world are huge and the reassurance of loving arms is vital.

Understanding the fourth trimester of a child’s life and how to be responsive is key to building a happy brain and a confident, securely attached child.

Don’t be afraid to hold and rock your baby. You belong together.

Summer is coming...

This is a couple years old but always a good read and visual! K’Tans are a lot of first baby carriers for new parents and sizing is everything! Read on;

Sizing is important! Especially when it comes to the Baby K'tan, so I gave all of them a try! And just like their online sizing quiz said, a M was the best fit for me and my newborn size doll! 😉

From Baby K'tan website;

"The Baby K’tan is meant to fit snugly to allow for stretch and will likely feel tighter than expected initially; however, this does not necessarily mean it is too small.

When trying on the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier (without your child inside), the lowest point of the carrier should fall just below your chest and above your navel. When wearing your child in the carrier, the lowest point of the carrier may fall at your navel or waist, but should not fall below your hips.

When carrying your child in the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier: if the lowest point of the carrier falls at or below your hips, choose a smaller size; if the lowest point of the carrier falls at your chest, choose a larger size.

When carrying your child in the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier, if the carrier feels too loose (i.e., child feels insecure, legs are bumping child’s body as you walk, or carrier easily slips off your shoulder), choose a smaller size."
