Yesterday we were "back in the saddle" again with our first 90-minute visit to the York Regional Police Community Safety Village. We created a mini farm exhibit in our van, followed by an interactive presentation for 30 grade 7&8 students attending the CSV's Like Me First summer camp. We had a great time sharing everything horse-related while Lucy enjoyed meeting her first group of campers. We have plans to take this concept on the road with future visits. Message us for details!

July 9th - Thank you everyone for your heartfelt messages. We really appreciated receiving them at such a difficult time. Everything seems so uncertain just now, but at least our new normal is beginning to get a bit easier. Linda & Judy

We have decided to take a break from therapy horse visits for the month of July. We lost our Dad on June 20th and we have been feeling overwhelmed by family responsibilities. The minis are doing well and we'll be back to sharing them with the community in a few weeks. ❤️

Today is a very special day for our Oliver. After 5 months of stall rest due to a shoulder injury, Oliver is extremely happy to be on limited turnout with Lucy. The late winter and spring were filled with stall rest, hand-walking, hand-grazing and two trips to Guelph equine hospital. We will continue with stall rest as his recovery progresses, but for today he is well enough for a little time in the sunshine. Lucy is a very gentle friend and we are closely monitoring his first hour outdoors. Oliver receives a lot of love and affection and has amazed us with his constant good spirits. We will continue to take things one day at a time, as we don't know how long a full recovery will take. Ever the team player, Lucy has stepped up as our primary therapy horse! 🐴 We are extremely grateful for the wonderful care Oliver received from Rotenberg Veterinary and Dr. Nathalie Coté at the Ontario Veterinary College.

Lucy has been having a great time practing her street smarts at the YRP Community Safety Village! The York Region Police offer an exciting and varied summer camp program for kids. We are thrilled to be hosting a horse education activity during three of their July and August camps! 🚔🐴🍁

We had a wonderful visit yesterday with 40 residents from a large long-term care home. We will be back again in June to visit with another group of residents. This was one of our biggest events and our little Lucy was a superstar! 💕
