An In-Depth Discussion & Tasting – Grüner Veltliner at Observatory Wines

Join Blair Gillingham for a special evening celebrating Grüner Veltliner, one of the signatures of Observatory Wines.
Over the years, Blair has become known for championing unique grape varieties and wine styles, with Grüner Veltliner becoming a special focus at Observatory Wines. This evening is an opportunity to learn more about the grape, its origins, and why it continues to inspire Blair as a winemaker.

Your ticket includes a glass of wine and a gourmet Grüner-inspired hot dog from featured food truck, The Wienery.

5:00 PM – Doors Open
Come and order your hot dog, grab your glass of wine, and settle in for the evening.
6:30 PM – Tasting & Discussion on the Grass Patio
Gather on the grass patio as Blair leads the tasting and discussion.
Five wines will be tasted and compared, including Observatory Wines’ Grüner Veltliner alongside international examples. Together, we’ll explore all things Grüner Veltliner—where it comes from, how it expresses itself in different regions, and why it has become such an important focus at Observatory Wines.
Guests are welcome to bring their hot dogs to the tables to ensure the event commences on time.
8:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Mingle & Purchase
Mingle and purchase after the tasting is complete.
The wineshop will remain open to the public during this after-hours event. Guests are invited to order hot dogs, enjoy a glass of wine, and mingle around the winery setting.
