In the days following the wildfire, an incredible group of community members came together with the critical work of keeping our team, our vineyards, wine and winery safe. From finding accommodation for displaced family and team members, to getting a generator up and running, repairing irrigation and getting water back to the vines, all while keeping our bottling operations on schedule, people simply showed up.

We will never forget that.

Everyone is safe. The vineyard survived, the wine was protected and we are moving forward together ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to share this morning that the winery is okay 🙏

At this time, all structures appear to be untouched and much green vineyard acreage is visible. We are feeling an immense sense of gratitude and relief. We are especially thankful for the firefighters and first responders who have worked tirelessly to protect our community and our homes.

We know that not everyone has been so fortunate, and our hearts are with everyone who has experienced loss or been impacted by the fires. We are holding our community close and sending love and strength to those on the front lines.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and kept us in your thoughts. It means more than you know.

Due to the ongoing wildfire situation impacting Summerland and nearby communities, we have temporarily closed the winery and evacuated the property. Our team has safely left the area and everyone is accounted for.

This is an emotional and uncertain time for so many throughout the region. Our thoughts are with everyone in the community who had been impacted.

We are grateful to the firefighters, emergency crews and all those working tirelessly to protect our community. Thank-you for your dedication and courage during this difficult time.

The winery will remain closed while evacuation orders are in place, and we will provide updates as circumstances change.

Summerland is a resilient community and we know we will get through this together. Please stay safe and take care of one another ❤️

Last month, wine critic James Suckling and his team made their first visit to the Okanagan Valley. We were lucky enough to be one of two Summerland wineries to have our wines included in tastings during his time in the valley.
