Freshly picked grapes are lifted high above the stainless-steel tank, ready to be gently tipped in from the top. It’s an impressive process to watch—and one more important step in turning this year’s harvest into w**e.

Tomorrow, it’s Sauvignon Blanc’s turn!

These grapes are growing at Sea Wave Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, near Munson Avenue and Munson Mountain.

Following the extreme cold of the winter of 2023–2024, several vines were lost and new vines had to be planted throughout the vineyard. Although there is still some variability in their growth, the vineyard is recovering beautifully and should reach its full potential within another couple of years.

For now, we’re celebrating a lovely crop of Sauvignon Blanc, ready to be picked tomorrow! **es **e **e

Harvest is officially underway!

After a long season of watching, waiting and caring for the vineyard, the grapes are finally coming in. There’s something so exciting about seeing those first bins arrive and knowing a new vintage is beginning.

From vine to w**ery… here we go. 🍇 **es

Labour Day weekend in the vineyard.

The Gewürztraminer is ripening fast, showing off beautiful colour and those succulent little bunches. We’re opening up the canopy to the gentle morning sun while leaving more protection on the afternoon side.

And the Pinot Noir is looking beautiful too, coming along so nicely as we move closer to harvest.

Such an exciting time in the vineyard — everything is changing so quickly now.

A little vineyard update from Carsons in Okanagan Falls

The Pinot Gris is moving through veraison, showing that beautiful soft pink colour in the skins.

Last year, some skin contact helped add texture to the w**e. This year, with the wildfire season and the potential for smoke taint, the approach will be different — the grapes will be whole-bunch pressed and then moved into neutral barrels for fermentation.

Every vintage asks for something a little different, and that’s part of w**emaking.

2026 Pinot Gris is on its way… and we can’t wait to share it with you. **es

We’re home, we’re safe, and we’re so grateful. ❤️

Yesterday we walked the vineyard and took in the sight of the grapes ripening beautifully on the vines. **es After everything these past weeks have brought, it feels especially meaningful to be back home and looking ahead.

Now it’s time to kick things into high gear as we prepare for harvest — one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year.

Feeling grateful, hopeful, and very ready for what’s ahead.
