One, two, three, four… look how far we’ve come.

From tiny grapes and long summer days to full clusters and a vineyard getting closer and closer to harvest.

A little look at the season coming full circle.

A little vineyard update from Carsons in Okanagan Falls

The Pinot Gris is moving through veraison, showing that beautiful soft pink colour in the skins.

Last year, some skin contact helped add texture to the wine. This year, with the wildfire season and the potential for smoke taint, the approach will be different — the grapes will be whole-bunch pressed and then moved into neutral barrels for fermentation.

Every vintage asks for something a little different, and that’s part of winemaking.

2026 Pinot Gris is on its way… and we can’t wait to share it with you.

There’s so much more to winemaking than what ends up in the glass. 🍷

Testing, measuring, filtering — and keeping a close eye on every little detail along the way.

With harvest getting closer, things are definitely picking up in the winery.
A little science, a lot of hands-on work, and plenty happening behind the scenes.

Behind the scenes with Andrea 🍇

Pre-harvest testing is underway — checking the grapes and preparing small nano ferments for smoke-taint analysis.

A little science, a lot of care, and one step closer to harvest.

We’re home, we’re safe, and we’re so grateful. ❤️

Yesterday we walked the vineyard and took in the sight of the grapes ripening beautifully on the vines. After everything these past weeks have brought, it feels especially meaningful to be back home and looking ahead.

Now it’s time to kick things into high gear as we prepare for harvest — one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year.

Feeling grateful, hopeful, and very ready for what’s ahead.

Koi and I are still evacuated, but we are so grateful to see that most of Summerland is unharmed.

Looking across the lake from Naramata, there is still so much emotion and uncertainty, but today feels a little lighter and a little more hopeful.

Our hearts are still with everyone who has been affected, and we continue to be so thankful for everyone working so hard to keep our communities safe.

Brighter days are ahead.

We are safe.

Koi, my family, and I are safe, and we are so grateful.

These photos were taken from Naramata, looking across toward Summerland and toward home. Seeing it from this side of the lake is incredibly emotional.

For now, we are holding onto hope and praying for everyone affected, everyone who has had to leave their homes, and everyone working so hard to keep our communities safe.

A very different view of our beautiful valley right now.

Yesterday, Koi and I had to evacuate our home. We are safe and incredibly grateful to have a place to stay, but from where we are, we can still look across toward the vineyard and winery, not knowing what the coming hours may bring.

Our hearts are so full of gratitude for every person who has opened their home, offered help, checked in, and supported those who have had to leave theirs. This community continues to remind us what it means to come together when it matters most.

And to the firefighters, emergency crews, first responders, and everyone working tirelessly through these incredibly difficult conditions — thank you. There truly are no words for what you are doing for all of us.

So many people throughout our valley are facing uncertainty right now. Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers, and please stay safe.

One day, one hour, one moment at a time.

Behind the bubbles of New Beginning.

Our Pét-Nat Pinot Noir ferments naturally in the bottle, creating its own beautiful bubbles. As the wine evolves, yeast sediment gathers near the cap, and each bottle is then disgorged by hand, one at a time — releasing the sediment while preserving its natural sparkle.

Handcrafted, unfined, unfiltered, and full of life.
A true New Beginning.

The Pinot Noir has just started veraison ✨

Veraison is the beautiful stage in the vineyard when the grapes begin to ripen. The berries start to soften, sugars begin to develop, and the Pinot Noir grapes slowly change from green to shades of pink, purple and deep red.

It’s an exciting little glimpse of what’s to come, with harvest now approximately six to eight weeks away. 🍇🍇🍇

The vineyard is changing day by day… and Koi is keeping a close eye on everything. 🐾
