⚠️ FRAUD ALERT – Immigration Scam Using My RCIC Credentials
It has come to my attention that scammers are impersonating me as a licensed Canadian immigration consultant. They are using my name, business address, and RCIC ID (R709975) to make fraudulent job offer and work permit schemes appear legitimate.
How the scam works:
A fake "employer" sends job seekers an email claiming to offer them a position in Canada, then instructs them to contact an "immigration firm" for their work permit — falsely citing my RCIC credentials. The scammers use an unofficial email address (not affiliated with my practice) and demand upfront processing fees (in this case, CAD $622) via that email.
Important facts:
• I do not communicate with clients through [[email protected]].
• I never request upfront payment through unsolicited emails tied to third-party job offers.
• Legitimate RCICs are listed on the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) public register — always verify a consultant's identity directly at college-ic.ca before sending money or documents.
