Assistant Restaurant Manager
JOB SUMMARY
It is an initial level management position that takes care of daily operations in Restaurants/Bars and Room Service. Duties include but not limited to helping in menu planning, maintains cleaning standards and help servers. Ensure industry standards and legal obligations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED; Minimum 1-2 years experience in the food and hotel Industry
OR
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel Management, Hospitality or Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the food Industry or related industry.
Primary job responsibilities.
Assisting and Supervising of Restaurant Staff
• Mentoring the new staff and trainees.
• Takes care of staff queries and concerns.
• Supervise restaurant staff to ensure quality standards.
• Improving service quality of the staff by brief trainings and guidance.
• Supervising and scheduling shifts.
• Supervises restaurant and all related areas.
• Supervises, planning and executing training initiatives.
• Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
Conducting Day-to-Day Restaurant Operations
• Maintaining and inspecting employees for supplies, equipment and uniforms.
• Assists in ensuring compliance with all restaurant policies, standards and procedures.
• Co-ordinating with Restaurant Chef/s and servers.
• Supervising alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws.
• Performs all duties of restaurant employees and related departments as necessary.
Customer Service
• Getting feedbacks from guests and improving quality on suggestions.
• Sets a positive example for guest relations.
• Meets and greets guests.
