I've often wondered about the validity of conspiracy theories.

Most conspiracy theorists don't consider or mention what would happen if the power goes out. It's something we take for granted.

Not for an hour. For a day, a week, a month, a year.

Just dealing with a strata that has had the power out since midnight (8+ hours). Fire department has come and gone, garage and doors propped open.

Only so much I can do.

A society so dependent on electricity will only know it's vulnerability when it's no longer available.

And we will find a way to carry on. We always have, and always will.
