Due to the expected snow Tuesday night, we will be CLOSED WEDNESDAY, JAN 17 to ensure the safety of our staff who must commute in the late evening/early morning hours and of our shop in the event the heavy snow causes power interruptions.

We will be closing today, January 16, at 3:00pm and we hope to reopen on Thursday, January 18, weather permitting. Stay tuned for updates as circumstances unfold!

Unfortunately, this means we could be up to 5 days behind in our deliverables. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We're closed as of 3pm today, Dec 20! Thanks to the weather, our winter holiday shop closure has started early. We will reopen in the New Year, on Jan 2 at 7:30 am. Have a joyful holiday!!!

We’re almost there! Our move to Port Kells is in the final stages.

From September 19 to 25, we will be processing the existing work in our queue. As of now we are fully booked into October, so any new work sent will not be processed until we reopen in our new location. We recommend not sending any new work to us in September, since we cannot process it and will simply be moving it as is to our new location.

From Monday to Wednesday, September 26-28, we will be winding down operations at our old shop. Our office will be open and we will continue to ship out any completed jobs. Our receiving department will be closed; we will not be able to receive any new work until we reopen at our new location.

We will be fully closed on Thursday and Friday, September 29 and 30, as we move our office and the last of our equipment to the new location.

We will reopen in our new location on October 3, 2022.

Do not send any work to the new address until October 3, 2022 when our receiving staff will be ready to receive and process it.

The move to Port Kells has begun!

With Phase 1 of the move nearly complete we will be beginning Phase 2 the week of August 8th. This will temporarily reduce our throughput and our turnaround times will be longer than normal.
Currently, we ask you to refrain from shipping us case hardening over .060 and any large volume work as we will be down to one hardening furnace. Stress relieving and Aging will not be affected.
We hope to improve our processing times by mid-September and be fully back to normal later in the year.

Our hope is to not close completely but continue operating at reduced capacity at our original location until we are fully moved. Please note this is only temporary and come the New Year, with the addition of new equipment, our capacity will be doubled.

WE'RE MOVING!

Precision will be moving to Port Kells in July 2022. We’re very excited about our new location! We will have more space, a new larger capacity furnace, and a range of improvements to our other equipment.

Although it isn’t far away, moving all of our equipment and setting up in a new location is not a small undertaking. We have had a full-time crew at the new shop working since the beginning of the year, establishing layout and workflow and installing supply lines and electrical systems. This summer we will move our furnaces and equipment.

While we are doing our best to minimize disruption for our customers, unfortunately there will be some necessary adjustments over the next several months. This will happen in three phases:
• from May 15 through to the beginning of July, we will be operating at reduced capacity while we start moving some of our equipment. This will mean longer turnaround times, and/or delays for longer heat treat processes.
• We will be closed completely (no shipping and receiving, and no heat treating) for 2 weeks, from about July 1-15, to allow us to move and re-connect the rest of the equipment.
• We will be starting up with current equipment in the new location July 18. We should be back to current capacity by August. If all goes according to plan, the new furnace should be operational in September.

Precision will be closed next week!
We are turning off the furnaces at 3pm on Friday, August 27, 2021, and we will be turning them back on again Tuesday morning, September 7, 2021.

This shutdown is essential for critical maintenance and upgrades to our furnaces and equipment, so that we can continue to provide fast, accurate heat treat services as you have come to expect.

We will not be open for shipping/receiving and our processes will be shut down during this time.

To maintain our equipment in good repair, Precision will be shut down for 1 week at the end of August, from Aug 30-Sep 3.

After our regular week-end shutdown on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 3:00pm,we will be closed for the following week, reopening on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, after Labour Day.

We will not be open for shipping/receiving and our processes will be shut down during this time.
