The Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade team has been connecting with partners, business leaders, government and community organizations to strengthen relationships and support the continued growth of Surrey and White Rock.
📸 1: CEO Joslyn Young joined the Honourable Gregor Robertson, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for PacifiCan, along with business and industry leaders from across B.C. for a roundtable on the impacts of U.S. tariffs and ongoing trade uncertainty. Joslyn shared perspectives from businesses in Surrey, White Rock and South of the Fraser, highlighting pressures on employers, exporters and supply chains, along with the importance of responsive federal support, trade diversification and long term economic resilience.
SWRBOT will continue to advocate directly with all levels of government to ensure the needs of our region’s businesses are heard and reflected in Canada’s trade and economic response.

📸 2: Policy & Media Advisor Aman Parmar joined CanCorr Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Baha Naemi and Parliamentary Secretary and MP for South Surrey-White Rock Ernie Klassen, to discuss local business priorities and opportunities. The visit also provided an opportunity to learn more about CanCorr’s operations and ways to support local manufacturing.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strong connections between employers, service providers and community partners as Surrey continues to grow.
