The strongest partnerships are built on trust. And this recognition means a great deal to us.
Garaventa Lift has been named the 2026 Contractors’ Choice Award winner by the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) in Chicago!
What makes this award special is who stands behind it. The Contractors’ Choice Award is voted on by elevator contractors, the professionals who work directly with equipment suppliers and understand the importance of dependable products, responsive service, and strong working relationships.
Being recognized by the people we work alongside is something we take great pride in.
Your trust is the recognition we value most.

Can a through-floor lift accommodate a wheelchair?

Yes. Meet Savaria Luma L, the larger evolution of Luma lift.
With a 47” deep cabin and 500 lb capacity, Luma L is designed to accommodate many mobility devices, including wheelchairs, while keeping the footprint and installation requirements remarkably simple.

That means more flexibility when designing accessible spaces:
• Wheelchair-friendly cabin
• 500 lb capacity
• 47” deep cabin
• Optional touchless power door operator
• Optional folding seat
• No shaftway required
• Simple floor cut-out
• 1–2 day installation

Accessibility doesn’t have to mean sacrificing space or design flexibility.

Some visitors leave a lasting impression.
Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Johnnie to our manufacturing facility. If you’re part of the elevator community, you may already know him from his YouTube channel (Johnnie Elevators), where he documents elevators, lifts, and accessibility equipment across British Columbia and beyond.
What makes Johnnie particularly unique is the depth of his knowledge and passion for the industry. At the age of 7, he can identify elevator models, manufacturers, and technical details that many adults would miss. His enthusiasm has even been recognized beyond the elevator community, with a feature in Elevator World and an interview on CTV News highlighting his remarkable interest in elevators at such a young age.
And the passion doesn’t stop there. Johnnie has built an impressive collection of elevator memorabilia at home, with his room filled with signs, manuals, buttons, and other elevator-related treasures collected over the years.
During his visit, he was eager to learn more about how accessibility solutions are designed and manufactured, asking thoughtful questions and taking a close interest in every step of the process.
Thank you for visiting us, Johnnie. We enjoyed showing you around and sharing a behind-the-scenes look at what we do.
We can’t wait to see where your passion takes you next!
