Another skill I have.

Did this several times for my sister.

I took thick and dense English prose writing and condensed it down and rewrote it to simplify it such that it reads better.

I did considerable Precis (summary) writing in University.

As a hobby, I write creative fiction.

Including some fanfiction for many TV series.

I cook and bake. All kinds of skills.

In the last year. I prepared documents through dictation for my sister, who is a lawyer in the Halifax NS area.

Selections varied from preparing letters, memos, position statements, affidavits and more.

We are using Gmail where she will email .dss files (dictation) and have them sent back via email in a prepared document using various templates.

Format of choice is Corel Wordperfect but as needed, all documents were converted into .pdf (Adobe) or .docx (Word) as many of her clients preferred other formats.

The position is freelance and on an as needed basis for an hourly wage.

She seems pleased with the service to date.

Typing, electronic email copy in Word document or pdf (Adobe document) $5.50 / page for 9 pages or less.

Every page over 9 pages is $5 / page straight typing. Electronic. Email copy in Word or Pdf documents.

Help with resume/cover letter creation is another $6 per document.

If it's dictation files cost is $16 / hour. Requires software for .dss file etc. If you send dictation files can type your dictation files as needed.

Can do word perfect format upon request.

Again Xplornet Satellite and Dish Network are old technology. There's a reason why they offer such poor speeds.

Their nemesis is the uplink and the latency.

Starlink is new technology. It boasts amazing speeds.

You can hate Space X and Elon Musk all you like.

But it won't change that fact.

They are LEOs or low orbit satellites that send signals to and from the the dish.

The new Gen 2 system dish has a proprietary connection on the cord that in turn can be directly connected to Starlink's Ethernet adapter. The adapter in turn plugs into the supplied router that creates wifi.

The ethernet adapter is ahead of the router and has an ethernet port out of it that connects directly hard wired to a laptop.

It creates amazing speeds on both. Both on the download and the upload.
